This is how I go forward with my music - the real story from November 2017 and towards the album release but it took Volume 2 to get the whole way there. Creating, editing and mixing music is a complicated effort but loads of fun. For all you who want to know how it goes down and for my fans who constantly ask why this album has been taking so long, now they will know. Indie musicians: I include resources, tips and tricks to help you get your music out there too!

In Volume 4 of the Indie Musician's Diary I write about how and why music creation had to take a one year breather as I started to write the book that explains my first album, (The Change My Mind book). My planned, second album, "Abide", was put on hold as I went through therapy and I had to increasingly be involved in the care of my aging in-laws. These frustrations are part and parcel of being human and of being a musician. It is a side most people don't talk much about in a world where we are encouraged to build a brand and impress others by our successes. But I tell you like it is. As always, The Diary was written sporadically but honestly about the ups and downs of creating faith based music. I hope my words encourage you to keep following your dreams especially in the face of problems, setbacks and others' crude reactions to you just trying to be the creative you that you were born with.

It's very complex, difficult, expensive, interesting and fun to be an independent music producer. And when you restart your music career again at the age of 50 people look at you sideways. O.k., maybe I AM nuts, but I'm having fun and living my dream. Volume three starts with my acoustic improvements to the studio; and will cover things like cutting down my production times; learning the art of mastering in-house and all the other stuff that happens to an indie like me along the way like releasing singles and promoting them. So follow me and follow my zany path. As in my two earlier volumes, I'll give you some great music making tips, point at video gems, share my dreams, headaches, setbacks and successes - all open for you to see and learn from. Also on Wattpad Volume 1: Creating the Change My Mind album and learning mixing Volume 2: Editing and release of the Change My Mind album. www.featherheadmedia.com
