地附虫和地甲虫的外形极为相似，肉眼难辨。不同的是，雌性地附虫的背脊能够生出毒幼，毒幼体型小，跳跃力强，移动速度快，肢节锋利，可以瞬间撕裂皮肤，刺穿人体，还能释放出让人神经麻痹的毒素。

The variants and the beetles look very similar, it was hard to tell them apart with just the naked eye. What was different between them was that the female variants could produce venom spawns from its back, which are small. Their jumping power was strong, their movement speed fast and their limbs are sharp. They could rip apart skin in moments and skewer the human body while also releasing a nerve paralysis poison.

What was even frightening was that the time to produce the venom spawns only needed three hours. In other words, every three hours, it was possible that there would be a venon spawn group attack.

士兵们举起光盾，只听到一阵噼里啪啦的撞击声，不计其数的毒幼冲入防线内，开始与士兵们近身战。在武装齐备又做好应急措施的情况下，抵御几波毒幼的攻击还不成问题。但只要再过两三天，武器大量损耗，情况必然急转直下，必须趁士兵们还有战斗力前，尽可能多地消灭虫子。

The soldiers raised the light shield and heard the pitter-patter striking sounds as countless venom spawns rushed into the interior of the defensive line and started to fight in close range with the soldiers. “长官，小心。”正在思考间，旁边突然跳来一只毒幼，直直朝尚可的咽喉扑去。不远处的两名士兵见状，脸色大变，刚做出准备救援的动作，就见尚可身形一动，向后瞬移半步，那只毒幼从他的脖颈前5公分处擦过，随后被一把脱手飞出的匕首刺中，牢牢钉在了墙体上。
