"Don't act like you know how I feel about Sean!" she said as she stormed off

"Well... If she didn't hate me then she definitely does now" I said out loud

"Dude, what happened?" Julian asked as he and the others caught up

"Someone should check on Kaycee," I said as she seemed upset

"On it," Tahani said going after her

"What did you say to make her so mad?!" Sean said confronting me the first time ever

"I'm going to get cleaned up, I have a spare shirt in my locker," I said ignoring the confrontation as I don't want to pick any fights anymore

"I'm talking to you, Joshua!" Sean said which struck a nerve

"Just go ask her!" I said wanting to leave the situation

He grabbed me by the back off my shirt and threw me down

"Bro chill," Julian said holding Sean back

"She's upset I don't know what exactly triggered her," I said

"Let's go outside," Bailey said as she took Sean away from the lunchroom to cool off

I made my way to my locker to grab the backup shirt and went to the bathroom to clean my face and the other one

"So, what did you do," Julian asked me as he was waiting in the bathroom presumably for me

"... I said that she didn't want Sean to be happy" I said as I clean the food off myself

"Yeah not the best choice of words," Julian said which I just rolled my eyes as I already know that now "Look I know you don't really have a filter but you can't really bring up their relationship"

"Why not?"

"Sean and Kaycee are like soulmates, even if they never get together they were destined to be best friends, and you implying that Kaycee doesn't want Sean happy or Sean instantly turning on you for making Kaycee upset is like you shitting on their affection to each other" Julian said "Their romantic side of their friendship is complicated but they just want each other to be happy as they have been with each other during their worst and best of times"

"I get that but..." I started but realized maybe only I know about Kaycee loving Sean

"But what?"

"Kaycee loves Sean and Sean loves Kaycee why not just get away from Gabe and have their happily ever after?" I said not caring if Julian knows or not

Tahani Anderson's POV

"I hate how devoted you are," I said to Kaycee as we sat under the bleachers in the gymnasium it's our quiet place if there is no game or gym class happening

"What?" Kaycee questioned

"You have it in yourself in that once you're committed to something you see it through to the end," I said

"That's not a bad thing," Kaycee said

"Yeah when it comes to jobs and projects but Kaycee I want you happy"

"I'm happy-" she tried saying

"Not with Gabe" I stopped her

"...I know what you're going to say"

"You love Sean and you know Sean loves you why risk that by staying with Gabe, just break up with him," I said

"You don't understand"

"Yes, I do"

"No, you don't!" she yelled at me for the first time in a very long time she's done that "Gabe made me feel so much love when we got together"

"Sean was-"

"Because Sean wasn't here yeah, I know, and if he was here I never would have gotten with Gabe," Kaycee said which was exactly what I was going to say "But guess what?"

"What..."

"He wasn't here!" Kaycee said as I think I see the problem "It felt like a part of me was gone when he left, I can't even count the times I cried myself to sleep knowing I couldn't talk to him for three months, how many times I tried calling him only for it to not reach"

"I know..."

"So, one day Gabe cheered me up and had me enjoy life without Sean so yeah when he asked me out I said yes not because I liked him but because he's the only one I could rely on"

"Kaycee I-"

"You were working, Bailey had Kenneth, Julian travels all the time, I didn't have anyone," she said "Up until now I only had my best friend but he was gone so I had to move on"

"Look I'm sorry we weren't there for you, it wasn't on purpose but Sean loves you, you could be the happiest girl in the world why not?" As I feel we are repeating this debate

"I broke his heart," she said as I see the issue as clear as day "I don't deserve him"
