About a week later

Sean, Julian, Bailey, and Tahani were finishing a project during lunch leaving Kaycee, Josh, and Gabe

Kaycee Rice's POV

"Um I'm going to talk to the guys," Gabe said as he left the table to talk with his friends as he probably feels uncomfortable with the tension

"I don't like you," I said as I didn't feel like trying small talk with Josh

"No surprise from your glaring at me," Josh said

"Oh, so you don't like me either?!"

"I wouldn't say that," he said

"What would you say then?" I asked

"I just don't see the hype," he said giving me a quick look over then returning to eat acting not impressed

"The hype?"

"Kaycee Rice the girl everyone wants apparently, I don't see the hype Bailey and Tahani are much prettier in my opinion," Josh said

"Whatever," I said as I'm not going to argue the whole whose prettier debate

"But honestly, I don't see how you're the girl that causes Sean so much pain," he said making me get upset

"I'm not causing him pain, you were the one that used to bump and shove him all freshman year!" I half-yelled as for a whole year I had to watch Sean get pushed around by this guy and Sean being the nice guy he is has never challenged him

"Says the girl that broke his heart," Josh said as he knows what happened that night

"Low blow"

"Hey, I'm trying to fix it by having him move on to bigger and better things but you don't and like keeping him by your side so you have someone to play card games," Josh said holding his hand up as if he's innocent

"Not true,"

"You're the reason Tate and Sean didn't go on a third date," Josh said "Yeah I talked to Tate"

"Again, not true"

It was true I told Tate about Sean's unrequited love because no girl wants to be with a guy who wants someone else the whole time

"So, you saying that Sean still loves someone else, which obviously means you, isn't messing that up?" Josh questioned me

"It's true he still loves me," I said even though I don't know that based off the way he's acting
then again, I didn't notice before...

"What does it matter? It's not like you love him back" Josh said as I froze

I couldn't think of a reason fast enough to explain my actions

"Oh, my God you love Sean" Josh concluded

"What?"

"Every time a girl gets near him you get defensive and protective even Bailey your best friend," Josh said

It's annoying how caught up he has been thanks to Sean, Bailey, and Julian

"Whatever" not denying it as I don't want to be a hypocrite

After she didn't deny that we went back to our uncomfortable silence of us eating our lunches

But I just had to open my big mouth...

"It's either that or you never want Sean to be happy,"

Kaycee threw her whole lunch tray with food at me getting all over my face shirt causing quite a scene as now everyone was staring at us
