Sean Lew's POV

Wednesday night

It was time to resume our weekly Lew-Rice family game and movie night

We always go to Rice's house as our house is usually a mess
Sad but true

"Finally," Kaycee said as she opened the door as soon as I knocked on it

"Sorry we're all still on China time" I made an excuse as honestly, we all forgot what time game night was

"It's fine just glad you can make it," Mrs. Rice said as she let the five of us, me, my two sisters, my mother and my father inside the house

"So, what are we playing?" I asked

"Double Monopoly," Kaycee said

"Double?"

"Two boards one for the parents and our siblings and one for you and me," Kaycee said, "Like old times when I would beat you solo!"

"Oh, it's on."

Two hours later

"You kids don't want to pause it to watch the movie?" Mr. Rice said as we decided to play the game in Kaycee's room as the adults played in the family room

"No I need to win," Kaycee said focused on her next move

"In other words, we're going to have to skip it as she's not going to beat me," I said

"Ok have fun," Mr. Rice said leaving the room and closing the door as we sometimes get loud

"At least it's good to know you're still competitive," I said messing up her next move

"And good to know you're still a butthole" Kaycee said

"And you still don't curse" I pointed out

"Not necessary," Kaycee said her argument for about two years' now

"For damn sure, it is," I said purposely cursing

"What did I say about you cursing in front of me," Kaycee said flicking my nose

"Oh, come on! Gabe can but I can't?"

"You're not Gabe," she said

I guess I'm not...

"I won't curse in front of you unless I'm extremely pissed," I said

"That's what you promised," she said

We've made a lot of promises over the years such as never lying to each other

"Yeah and I always keep my promises," I said making her smile as some things never change with us

"Go to jail," she said focusing back on the game

"Get out of jail free card remember," I said

"Dang it!"

"You should just curse," I said as it seems more effort to not curse than it is to curse

"Peer pressure," she said

"Please just once?" I asked

"No"

"Our whole squad does it"

"Not Tahani"

"Not around you" I corrected her as our whole squad tries to follow Kaycee's rule of no cursing when around her

"Enough about that didn't anything else happen in China besides classes and the food," Kaycee said switching the subject

"Not really, I met this cute girl but I honestly just missed you a ton" I honestly said

"Sean..."

"You as in you, Julian, Tahani, and Bailey" I added to make sure I don't reveal my feelings on accident

"Of course, but mostly me, right?" Kaycee asked

"Obviously, you're my favorite"

"I win!" Kaycee cheered

"What?!"

"Yep!"

"Wow you've definitely gotten better since I left," I said not really caring I lost as her smile just makes my day

"Looks like I'm not the one who should be playing catch up," Kaycee said

"So, what's up with you? I mean besides Gabe"

"Um just mostly dancing plus a ton of Netflix," Kaycee said

"And chilling?" I asked, which I shouldn't have since I think I'll die if she and Gabe Netflix and chilled...

"Yes, Tahani and I chilled a lot," Kaycee said rolling her eyes at the implication of chilling

"Cool," I said while smiling which I now realize can be taken a different way

"You're such a jerk, but yeah I've been watching my shows a lot but I had to start watching new ones," Kaycee said

"Why?"

"I mean a show like friends just made me miss my best friend," Kaycee said getting emotional again

"Kayc I'm not going anywhere ok," I said as I give her a hug

"You better not," she said "I need you"
