Today wasn't like every other day. Today was different, and the only difference was that I wasn't going to be where I felt comfortable. My family is moving us all away from Korea and into America. Am I scared? Of course not, I'm completely frightened. I have never been out of Korea before but on the bright side at least my parents forced me to learn english at an early age. Thanks for that I guess. As we are getting on the long plane ride to america, tears threatening to fall at any moment, I text all my friends my goodbye messages and quickly turn off my phone so I don't end up crying. I sit down next to my mother and put my music on. Soon enough I fell right asleep.
I woke up while we still had about 8 hours left. I slept for about 9 hours since I haven't gotten much sleep lately due to far too much stress. I pull out my sketchbook from my carry-on bag from under the seat in front of me and start sketching. I don't really know what I'm drawing half of the time. Just anything that I can think of. Sometimes I draw people, sometimes I draw animals, sometimes I draw scenery. It depends on how i'm feeling that day.
I slowly start sketching out a face, a handsome one to be exact. "I wish I had a facial structure like this." I say to myself in my head. The person I sketched out was not a person I knew but rather a person I wish I was. He was one of my favorite characters that I created. He had no name because I couldn't think of a name to match him, but maybe one day i'll give him a name. Whenever I'm bored I draw him. If only he was real. He's a perfect person. Perfect facial structure, perfect pair of chocolate brown eyes, perfect body proportions and even an amazing personality. He is funny, yet smart, childish yet completely serious. He was just all around a perfect person.
After I finished drawing him in a few other poses for about an hour or two, I slowly started falling asleep again. Was it even possible to sleep this much? I started playing some music on my phone before I fell asleep so I could block out any sound coming from other people on the plane.
In America
My mother shakes me, and I wake up pretty quickly and realize it's time to get off our plane. It felt like time went by quickly. I grab my small suitcase from the overhead bin. I didn't pack much because it'd be a bother to carry so much so I only brought a carry-on bag and a small suitcase that I can put in the overhead bin. Plus i'll be living here for a long time so I'll have time to buy more clothes or anything else I need. I wear basically the same thing everyday. I already had planned out my outfit for the first day because I like to be prepared. A pair of dark blue skinny jeans, a white NASA t-shirt, a plain black jacket and black and white low rise converse. Nothing special but at least it matches. We got into a taxi to take us to our new home which also had our new car waiting for us. I'm not going to lie, my parents are pretty rich but I just don't say it. They have payed a lot for extra lessons for me and I'm grateful for it. I got to skip a grade in america because I was too far ahead of them so I'm in the 11th grade. I still think this grade will be easy but I didn't want to go into 12th grade because then I wouldn't get much american high school experience.
We get to our new house and it's pretty big. 6 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. There is only four of us but the extra 2 bedrooms is for my fathers office and my studio. My studio consists of music and art. I make music and I make art, pretty simple. It's pretty early at this time but we're all jet lagged so we quickly pull out some blow up mattresses and put them on the floor of each of our rooms and we all slowly fall asleep. We all wake up at around 6 PM and we cook dinner. it's a weird time to make dinner for us since we just woke up but my mother wants us to get used to this time zone. especially since my parents have work and me and my sister have school. I quickly eat the food my mother makes all of us and go into my room once again. It was pretty normal sized. I had my own bathroom which was a nice extension. I fell onto my mattress on the ground and went on my phone and went on instagram. I was pretty popular on instagram. Many people think I'm handsome so they follow me. I don't think I'm that handsome but I'm not ugly either. I think I'm just average.
At this point I'm very bored and most definitely not tired so I start getting my boxes from downstairs into my room and start setting everything up, including putting my actual bed into place and other things like my dresser.

My room starts looking like the way I want it. By the time I finish setting everything up it is 5:30 AM so I thought I might as well shower and get ready for school since it starts at 7:30 AM. I take a quick 10 minute shower and slowly dry my hair by time i finish drying my hair it's about 5:57 AM. I start getting my outfit on that I had previously prepared and went downstairs and drank some milk then prepared my backpack with all the things i'll need for my first day. Things like paper and pencils, nothing special. By the time I finish everything it's about 7:00 AM so I head outside to catch the school bus. I put in my earbuds and put on one of my favorite songs by an artist named lil peep. the bus slowly gets to my stop where about 3 other people are waiting and we all get on the bus. I sit in a seat alone but It won't be like that for long because usually school buses have two students in each seat. About 2 stops later somebody sits next to me. I can tell because I felt the weight being shifted. I slowly looked over to see the student next to me and..
