Avery's POV

I honestly could not believe what I was hearing! MY mother was getting married to some rich dude, and we've only been living here for like 3 months! Obviously I was nothing but happy for her, but couldn't help but wonder why she rushed into things so quickly.

"Avery, Michel has one of those big houses up the road, and...he wants us to move in with him. I told him I would ask you."

My day was getting better and better! I was going to live in a huge house, and would be within walking distance from all my friends! I was so happy, I could cry. Huge things like this didn't normally just happen to regular people like me. Like, not ever... The only thing I was wondering was, who his daughter was, and if I knew her...

That morning at school, I met up with Drew, who was being a bit overdramatic when seeing me, like he was putting on a show or something. We were lost in a senseless conversation, when I remembered last night that Kace asked me a favor. I was half conscious, and I remember him asking me to get some girl to like him. What was her name again? Hmm...Malbe? Mabey? Macey? I think it was Mabel... Yep it was definitely Mabel, he said.

"Drew is there a girl named Mabel in this school. If so, where could I find her? I need to talk to her before Britsh Lit."

Drew, was lost in thought for a few seconds.

"Nah, there's no Mabel, in this school. I've tapped about every girl, and don't no any Mabel."

"Too much info there buddy." I couldn't help but feel a mixture of emotions. Not over Drew, but over Kace

I was first shocked, then slightly grossed out, then I only felt one thing...joy

I'm the mystery girl. Kace likes...me!

Why was I so happy though, so...relieved? I had Drew Libman as a boyfriend, like come on!

Kace's POV

During British Lit, I was staring at the back of Marcy's head for so long, waiting for her to turn around and give me any hint at all of her and Avery's talk. I told her to find her before class and talk to her about me. I really hope she did, because right now Marcy isn't showing any signs at all. God, I don't fucking get girls at all.

I wanted to scream, "DO SOMETHING!" but she just continued to face the front of the room the entire time, never once looking back at me.

I spotted Avery across the room, and shot her a pleading look, that meant, "Make her do something!!" Giving her my puppy eyes.

She met my gaze, and gave me some weird look. It kind of looked like some creepy, dreamy smile. Figured she realized what she was doing, and shot me a stern, teachers look, like I did something bad or whatevs.

I sat through the remaining 10 minutes of class, not knowing what to do, or what to even think. I would just confront Avery after class was over.

Everyone was filing out of the classroom, and I caught Avery and pulled her to the side. I smelt the familiar presence of Marcy's soft fragrance, and I could feel her looking at me, but for once I couldn't bring myself to look back at her.

Avery looked different, better different. She took that blonde dye out of her hair and is a brunette again. I kind of liked that. She looked cute, and...soft? Ugh what the fuck I'm here to ask her about another freaking girl I like, can't get thoughts about her now.

"Avery, did she say she was going to give me a chance?"

I couldn't risk saying Marcy's name out loud. People around here sort of like worship me, and anything that comes out of my mouth becomes the gossip of the week. I can't have those hater bitches after Marcy, now can I.

Avery gave me that mean look again, and hissed, "She is dating your bestfriend, and you know that! How could you even think about doing that to Drew??

I couldn't even process my thoughts right then. All I could say was, "WHAT?"

"Oh, so he didn't tell you that did he! Well yes, I know very strange but true! You just have to accept that, and find somebody else!!" She half whispered, half yelled.

I was so mad, I could punch something, why was Drew dating Marcy!! Why didn't he fucking tell me!

'Well Kace, you were afraid to admit your feelings about Marcy too, so don't try to blame this on him!' The annoying mom voice in my head told me.

I was going to settle things with Drew...I would make him break up with her, so that I could be with her. I couldn't even think straight, I just had to get to Drew right this instant.

Avery's POV

It was literally killing me inside. I just rejected probably the hottest and coolest guy I'll ever meet in my life, and I basically told him to go find someone else! I felt like shit for some reason, even though I really should have been mad at Kace for trying to ruin his best friend's relationship. He looked like he was fighting a war in that brain of his, and angrily stormed off down the hall like a lion looking for its prey. Every step he took down that hall, a tiny crack formed in my heart. Do I really want him to go?

Is anyone confused on what just happened?? I will gladly break it down for you right now

So basically: Kace told Avery he wanted her to talk to Marcy about giving him a chance!

But...Avery was so dead tired, that she forgot the name that Kace told her, and ended up asking Drew if there was a girl named 'Mabel!!!'

When she found out there wasn't she automatically thought that Drew was referring to her when he said he liked someone!!!

Avery secretly likes Kace a little, but is "unfortunately" in a relationship with a really hot player who is using her as revenge of Madison against Avery!!!! Of course, avery doesn't know this though!!! D;

Kace asked Avery after class, if Marcy said she would give hima chance, but couldn't say her name out loud b/c of the gossipy ppl!!

Avery thought he was asking if SHE would give hima chance, and told him to basically get lost b/c she was dating Drew!! (but deep down she rlly wants Kace D;)

So now Kace is off to find Drew, and MORE secrets are yet to be revealed, you must read on to find out what happens next!!!
