Jungwoo pulled his gun from the holster behind him on his belt. Slowly, as he gripped it with both hands and brought it up to the other male, hot tears streamed down his face, leaving pale trails.

His hands trembled violently. Lucas was, at first, nervous, but he somehow got to calming himself down. Without moving out of the way of the gun, he smiled.

"Do it."

Jungwoo gulped. His tears couldn't stop.

Lucas walked closer. "Do it, Jungwoo."

"I-I can't!" Jungwoo screamed.

Due to the noise, the bedroom was flooded by Lucas' family members. They all stared in horror and did not dare make a sound. His mother was at the front of the small crowd, sobbing.

Lucas walked even closer, to where the gun was hovering above his heart. "Jungwoo, you'll get in trouble with you superior if you don't do this."

"But if I do it, I'll be living an even worse life, without you!"

Lucas smiled tenderly and put his hand over Jungwoo's. "I love you." He whispered. Slowly, with the other just hardly realizing, he put his thumb over his trigger finger. Before being able to pull down entirely, Jungwoo averted his aim, panicking.

There was a loud noise.

There was a sudden, imaginary darkness.

Then there was blood. Lots of it.

Lucas lay on the floor, bleeding severely from his stomach region, but still managing to crack a loving smile for his significant other.

At this time, Lucas' family had gathered around. There was a lot of screaming, and an ambulance was already on its way.

As Jungwoo's tears flowed out even harder and attempting to flee, Lucas' mother grabbed him by the shoulder despite the fact he was armed.

"You...I had a bad feeling about you from the start. But to think you'd do something like this...you know, if you don't get arrested, you'll still live a melancholy life, you hear? I'm taking him away. You're never going to see him again."

Everything that once held Jungwoo's heart together seemed to disintegrate all at once. It was over. The man he had loved for the past two and a half years was never going to be a part of his life again.

His arm went limp. It was obvious that Lucas' mother was shocked, to say the least. "Don't go around, acting like you regret it!"

"You scenile old woman, of course I regret it!"

Jungwoo managed to pull his arm away and run out of the large home. Outside, dark shelf clouds rolled in from the south. The wind and air was crisp and cold, but he couldn't care less.

He attempted to walk, one foot dragged in front of the other.

Gosh, why did it seem so difficult now?

Jungwoo's drenched feet seemed to stop themselves, as he lost control of his legs. He tried catching himself when he landed on the cold, wet concrete. No one passing by seemed to care.

I almost killed the man that I love and I'm worried about walking?

He struggled to get up. His entire body was numb at this point. So eventually, he gave up. He cried his eyes out, unable to get up from the ground on a busy sidewalk in the middle of a major Asian city.

When Jungwoo wanted to go to sleep in his position, he felt painful pressure on the top of his head. Opening his eyes was probably the last person he wanted to see right now.

"You got the job done well, I presume?" Doyoung laughed, reaching out his hand.

Jungwoo didn't bother.

"Wha-? You mean to say that you...didn't? Was it another assassin group? Crap, I knew we were too late on this."

Finding some strength, Jungwoo managed to get up on his own. "Why did you even order me to kill him in the first place? Xuxi is no criminal! He's done nothing wrong!" He shouted.

"Ah, you see, we were once good friends but he suddenly disappeared one day. I didn't see him for two months without a word." said Doyoung, brushing off his hands.

Jungwoo stared at him in disbelief. "And he was the man I fell in love with, too. I can't believe this." He mumbled, burying his face in his hands.

Doyoung's eyes widened, but Jungwoo could hardly tell. His vision was beginning to blur anyways. "You're in love?"

"You're a cruel human being! No, you're a monster! If anyone in this world should die, it's you!"

whew, angsty

The first few chapters of this book are going to be less than 1000 words, as they are meant to be some sort of "introduction" to the story.

I'd also like to announce that I am going on a small hiatus on my other Luwoo book "morning coffee" (go read btw). This story was thought up on a whim but I really like it.

I've never written an angsty or genuinely serious story before so someone please tell me if I'm not doing this correctly.
