Boarding the plane, I gripped my stomach and watched my luggage get loaded.

The butterfly's in my stomach were going crazy, and I just couldn't stand it anymore. I shuffled around the plane to find my seat, and when I finally did I let out a huge sigh of relief.

My stomach wasn't handling any movement whatsoever. I shuffled into my seat and plopped down, thankful that nobody was on the plane to see it happen.

My wrist was super soar, but I thought about arriving in Sydney to take my mind off of my throbbing cheek and stinging wrist.

My day dream was interrupted by a boy who looked a little older than me. He had a red bandana holding back his hair, a Nirvana t-shirt and tight black skinny jeans.

"Excuse me, I need to get to that seat right there," he pointed at the window seat next to me, chuckling.

"Oh I'm so sorry," I blushed scooting my legs back so he could get through. As he sat down, he stuck out his hand for me to shake it.

"I'm Ashton," he said in a thick Australian accent, gripping my hand. I flinched at his grip and he noticed the wrap around my wrist, "oh wow, I'm sorry," he chuckled out of embarrassment.

"Oh it's fine," I giggled, "I'm Winny Brooks," he sent me a gentle smile.

"So why are you headed to Sydney?" He asked casually. I gulped, hoping he didn't hear me. I wasn't sure how I was going to play it off.

"Well I'm um just going to visit my aunt," I forced a smile, "and yourself?"

"Well I live there, I was just heading back from a vacation with my father," he smiled. I couldn't stand the word father and that feeling was hard to hide, but I must have done a pretty good job, considering the fact that Ashton didn't question me.

"So when we get there, do you think you can show me around the place?" He laughed.

"Well sure, but Sydney is pretty big, so that might take a while," he chuckled.

"Well I mean like common sights and popular restaurants," I giggled along with my words.

"Yeah I can do that," he smiled, "I think we're gonna be pretty good friends," he smiled once again.

"Me too," I laughed. Well this was a great start, I already have one friend. I never thought that this would happen that fast. I decided if we were going to be friends, I could ask him about Australia.

"What's it like?" I asked making him jump. He chuckled.

"What?" He asked.

"Sydney,"

"Well it's just like any other normal place. It's sunny quite often, the rain storms are amazing, the beach is nice. It's just nice in general," he smiled at his thoughts.

"Did you miss it when you were gone?" I felt like I was quizzing him, but I had to know what I was going to feel if I had to come back to America.

"Well sure, doesn't everybody miss home?" He smiled out the window, and we finally began taking off.

At first the place was extremely shaky, and out of fear, I clutched onto Ashton's arm and squeezed my eyes shut.

I heard him laugh.

"Never been on a plane before?" I shook my head at his question.

When the turbulence finally stopped, I opened one eye only to see a peering Ashton.

I loosened my grip and put my hands on my lap, opening my eyes all the way.

"See, wasn't that bad?" He laughed.
