"Hey what's your name!" Yhe boy cheerfully asked.
"M-me?"
"Who else could I mean?"
"O-oh, I'm Lilly, L-Lilly Evermore. "
"Really! That's a pretty name, my name is Alex. Or at least it is now, parents changed it when we moved. "
"Ah, well that sucks. "
"Yea, but now I have a friend! And she has a pretty name to make up for my plain one. "
"W-what? F-friend!" She was in disbelief.
"Of course! Say want tk build a sand castle. " The energetic brunette asked, almsot bouncing with joy.
She wasn't sure, but seeing him she couldn't help it. "Of course!"

And this is when it started. The friendship between a hazeled eyed brunette named Alex and the lilac painted girl Lilly.

Years later both sat, thinking. Thinking back to whem they were still children. And both thought of the other, each others first 'best friend'.... a sibling of sort they were so close.
But nothing lasts forever.
Even the strongest bonds can be broken by simple meaningless words.
So now both sat alone in their rooms, now adults.
'I wonder how he's doing. '
'Is she eating properly again?'
'Hopefully he lost his troublemaking habits. '
'Maybe she finally cut that cool pastel purple hair of yours, always did complain about brushing it.  '
'Did he get a job at Spencers? Always talked about his he wanted to work there and swore it'd be his job later on. '
These were some of their thoughts about the other as sleep took hold of the overworked 23 year olds. Each dreaming of the other, of the past. When they were still children and things were simple. When they were, "Partners in Crime " together
And then it was never thought about again.

A fes months later one sat curled up on the couch, managing to get a a day off on the weekend.
"Alex Kirgan Hinata, age 24 is currently being held host-"
She felt herself go numb. Suddenly wide awake. Address, what was the address?
'He might be in trouble, I have to check. ' Rewinding the program ahe wrote it down and was suddenly gone.

He knew exactly how this happened, and was just fine with it. His fault anyway, and not like many would notice his absence. He was just anither person with a boring life. Almost stereotypical in fact. Living by himself with three cats, nothing interesting about his looks or personality, blends into the crowd, wears whatevers trendy.
