12: In the Church

"Wanda behind you!" I yelled at five Ultron bots ran up behind her, she quickly turned around and killed them. I heard screams from civilians who were surrounded by the bots. I quickly lifted myself in the air, and landed in the middle, and using the darkness to crush all the bots. I then quickly rushed them inside the building. I took a deep breath feeling the air getting thinner, and I lifted myself off the ground and landed next to Pietro, who stood on the edge and looked out over the sky.
"Pietro the air is getting thin." I said out of breath, he turned and looked at me, with a worried expression on his face.
"Are you okay?" He said rubbing his finger over a scratch going across my cheek. I nodded my head and smiled at him. I looked passed him to see a large aircraft almost the size of the city, I stared in disbelief, Pietro turned to look, he turned back around with a smile on his face and then ran to Black Widow and Captain America.

I stood for a moment and stared and then lifted myself off the ground and landed where Pietro had gone.
"This is shield?" Pietro asked to no one in particular, still staring at the ship, that had now let off smaller ships.
"This is what Shield is supposed to be." Steve said, looking at my brother and I.
"This is not so bad." Pietro said, looking at the smaller ships then looking at me, still smiling a happy childlike smile. Quickly a smile crept on my face seeing my brother happy.
"Yeah, this is- great." I said a smile still in my face.
The smaller ships not landed on the city and opened up revealing rows of seats. I quickly started towards the civilians and rushed them onto the ship. Many ships came and left with people.
"I got a plan!" Tony said over comms.
"We're out of time, they're coming for the core." Thor replied.
"Get the rest of the people aboard that carrier. Avengers time to work for a living." Tony said. I looked to see Pietro head toward the church and I lifted myself off the ground, flying over the city, then landing in the church. Tony, Vision, Captain America, Thor, Wanda, Clint, and Pietro were already there. I landed near my sister. Wanda smiled and pulled me into a hug.
"How are you?" She said as we pulled apart.
"I'm alright, little tired but, I'm ready to fight more." I replied, I then turned around to see Pietro, walk up to us.
"You good?" He said placing his hand on my the side of my head, and out of breath, I nodded my head, and a smile shined on his face.
"Romanoff, you and Banner better not be playing hide the Zucchini." Tony said, shooting down a few Ultron bots.
"Relax shellhead, not all of us can fly." She said over comms, I then turned to see a truck driving towards us killing Ultron's in its path. When the truck stopped she got out the truck and walked up to where we all stood, surrounding the switch.
"So what's the drill?" She asked.
"This is the drill, if Ultron a hand on the core, we lose." Tony said pointing at the core. Hulk then came and joined the circle, around it. I then looked to see Ultron, floating in the sky looking at us.
"Is that the best you can do?!" Thor yelled. Ultron raised his hand signaling hundreds of Ultron's to come running towards us. They stopped behind him, waiting for his command.
"You had to ask?" Steve said annoyed.
"This is the best I can do, this is exactly what I wanted, all of you against all of me. How can you possibly hope to stop me?"
"Like the old man said." Tony said, as we all turned to look at him, "together." With that Ultron came from all sides running at us, Hulk yelled ready to fight, I stood next to my sister ready to take on the battle about to happen. I gathered the darkness, rapping it around groups of the bots at a time, crushing them, throwing them into the air. Pietro ran around all of us taking out many of them, sometimes he'd stop and smile at my sister and I as we moved our arms and hands around manipulating red and black.
Explosions, dust, and debris littered everywhere as we all fought as a team. A rush of Ultron's came running and flying towards me so I lifted myself off the ground with the darkness, and for the brief second I was in the air I saw our team, and I saw how powerful we were.

I quickly landed on my feet manipulating the darkness as I landed, the darkness flowed swiftly towards the ground rushing towards me. The darkness quickly took out the whole group. I stood back up feeling confident and happy if what I just did.
"Wow! Good job Lizzy!" Wanda said as the red mist shot out of her hands. I smiled taking out the bots around me, every so often catching a glimpse of Pietro. For the first time in a while I felt good, like I was for once on the right side.
