You told me you'll always be there
And I thought about forever
In a form of late night talks
And sudden walks;
I thought
Of magic,
Love and fairy tales
You told me you'll always be there
And so I didn't have the time
To memorize your laughter
To trace your eyes with my fingers
And to think of many souvenirs
That I could hold on for years
You told me you'll always be there
So I allowed myself to just get lost
In your arms of comfort
In the days of pain and hurt;
Within your touches,
I was dependent
In your hugs,
I was content
And I was lost
And it's not fine at all
You told me you'll always be there
And so I thought that you care
And that there's nothing much to fear
You told me you'll always be there
But it was just a promise
Something that's meant to break in pieces---
Was it your fault to lie?
Did you?
You told me you'll always be there
But soon after my one deep slumber,
You held the door open,
My heart was sore---
Cut open
You told me you'll always be there
And it was so honest,
You weren't a liar---
You are still here,
It's just that,
Your body is somewhere
