Chapter 16

The day after all the excitement of my birthday I wake up to scar licking my face wanting to go outside. I smile and grab his leash and get dressed in a new outfit I got for my birthday. I hook the leash onto scar, leave a note, and walk through the neighborhood taking in the sights. Scar walks in front of me acting like a big scary guard dog. I giggle at him, as we reach the park I sit on a bench and put Scar on my lap and I pet him.

All of a sudden someone sits next to me. I look over and see that it's just Remington. "Oh hey, Remmy" I smile at him petting scar. He smiles back saying "That's such a cute puppy!!!" I giggle at his childishness and how cute it is. "So Rain I was thinking would you wanna go out on a date with me? I mean I'd have to ask your dad but I just wanted to know your answer." He smiles, and he starts to lean in. I start to lean in as well and as our lips touch it feels like it's only me and him and everything else has just gone away. All the pain, all the sadness is just gone. We pull away and look into each other's eyes when my phone starts to ring.

I pull out my phone to see that it's dad and, I answer "hey dad what's up?" He responds with "hey where are you?"

"I'm at the park with Scar and Remmy and he has a question for you" I immediately hand him the phone giggling as Remmy puts the phone on speaker. "um hi sir I was wondering if you would allow me to take your daughter out on a date Friday night?" he gulps as Alex ponders the question.

"Hmm, I don't see why not but she has to be home by 11:30 and Rain don't tell Andy." With that, he hangs up and I kiss Remmy once more then he walks me home. My one hand holding Remmy's and the other has scar's leash. We reach my house and I invite Remmy in and the guys are all sitting there along with Andy who growls at the sight of Remmy holding my hand. "Dad gave us permission!" Everyone starts asking questions one by one. I hold my head and my legs give out on me as I faint but I feel someone catch me until it all turns to black.

Remmy's pov~

I'm standing there getting pelted with questions as I feel the grip on my hand loosen I look over to see Rains legs give out. I catch her lifting her up and taking her up to her room. I lay her on her bed taking her shoes off and put a light blanket over her kissing her forehead. Scar runs up and curls up next to her. I smile at the sight of her and yawn laying next to her I close my eyes and fall asleep.

Rain's pov~

I start to wake up and look around to notice that someone's arm is around me. I look over to see Remmy sleeping peacefully so I snuggle into him hugging his waist. Falling asleep to the sound of his heartbeat. We both end up waking up and looking at each other "good morning beautiful," I smile looking up into Remmy's eyes. Then I get up out of bed and stretch.

"good morning handsome, what happened yesterday?" I ask him confused.

"You passed out yesterday cause you got overwhelmed," Remmy explains and everything comes back to me.

"I'm sorry about my family Remmy." I sigh and sit on the edge of the bed my head in my hands. I feel arms snake around my waist and hug me tightly. I smile softly at Remmy and Scar hops up on my lap. "We better go downstairs." I walk downstairs with Remmy to the smell of breakfast cooking and I see Alex standing there singing, his sweet voice ringing through the air as he sees us he stops and looks at me.

"I'm so sorry about yesterday Rain how're you feeling?" He asks in a gentle tone. "I'm feeling pretty good dad." He smiles and Remmy wraps his arms around me as he dad serves us breakfast. I start to eat slowly as I scroll through social media.

After we finish eating me and Rem go on a walk when a man who looks a bit like a pirate comes running at us. When he gets over to us he says "Remington where have you been?!" He says frantically gasping between every word.

Rem just laughs "Relax Em I was just over at Rain's house oh by the way this is Rain, my girlfriend."

Emerson smiles at me "its nice to meet you Rain, come home sometime tonight please Rem" Emerson walks away and Remington pulls me into a hug.

When we reach my front door Remington hugs me again and kisses my forehead. "I'll see you tomorrow okay ma cherie?" I nod smiling softly. He hugs me again smiling. He then leaves once I go inside, why does he have to be so amazing I think to myself as I walk up to my room and plop on my bed.

Scar lays on my stomach licking my face until I pet her. My phone buzzes and I see Remington texted me...

Rem: hey Rain you wanna come over for dinner at my place tomorrow? : )

I giggle to myself before replying.

Rain: sure babe I'll see you then

Rem: yay :)

I picture him smiling as I turn off my phone and plug  it in. I head down stairs and make me a sandwich since no one seems to be home. I sit on the couch in the living room watching seven deadly sins.

After awhile Alex and Lisa walk in and ask me to help with dinner. I agree to help them and we have a lot of fun making homemade pizza. Alex made a mess...
