The Letter and The Wish

            Gaston was hammered in the tavern when LeFou and Stanley found him they were worried if giving him the letter be wise as he hears him spouting off that there's something wrong with him first Belle rejects him and now Briar Rose has run away from him it's like there's something wrong with him. LeFou didn't like this version of Gaston because it leads him into being a very pain in the ass and wanting to fight someone. In the carriage Paige was quiet Sir Bromley said "I know it's difficult but you made the right decision" she said nothing he said "The Three Good Fairies should have found something in 2 years on breaking your curse" she had tears falling from her face she said "Why did I talk to that stupid old woman" he held her hands he said "Because you were raised to be compassionate and kind it's not your fault that you didn't know it was Maleficent in disguise and that's why your father King Stefan made sure there was any means necessary to reverse the curse" she said "But time took over and he and mom they ceased to love me and paid more attention to Aurora, I envied her so much" he said "When we get home we'll see what they found and you will be saved" she said "Thank you Sir Bromley for being here for me even when my dad can't be" he said "You're like my own daughter, I would do anything for you" she said "That's because you're mom's brother" he said "That too, but you and Aurora are my everything". Gaston too drunk was able to make it up to his room he found Briar Rose's cloak she left without it the last he saw her he smelled it and it was her scent oh how he wanted to hold her in his arms and to kiss her for the first time but now she's gone and he had no idea where to he looked out his window at the night sky and the stars he went and sung:

              Setting up camp in the woods in a tent Paige saw the night sky and stars shining she thought about Gaston she felt her heart stinging from pain she felt the breeze she singing:

Paige saw a bright star she said "Starlight, star bright first star I see tonight wish I may wish I might give the wish I wish tonight, I wished you could only know why I'm doing this even if my letter may tell but it's what's beneath the lines you don't know I wish you could see what I've lived" she went into the tent. While Gaston was tossing and turning in his bed he was dreaming when the star shining in the night sky sent a wave of magic through his window and invaded his mind he appeared to be in a castle of sorts but it wasn't one he had been in before he noticed a big celebration was underway but for what he didn't know then he saw a king and a queen everyone was talking about the young princess Aurora's christening everyone from everywhere came to see it he heard the King's name King Stefan and the Queen's name Queen Leah he saw three balls of light come into the castle a red, a green, and a blue from the light it was three old woman he heard someone say "The Three Good Fairies: Flora, Fauna and Merryweather" he wondered why he be dreaming of this he heard them bestow gifts on the young princess. When it came for the third one Merryweather there was sound of thunder and crackling of lightning a figure appeared out of nowhere frightening all that was there he heard someone say "Maleficent" she was upset she didn't get an invitation to the christening but still had a gift to give the princess and when she did everyone was up in arms over it he said to himself "That was cruel" he noticed he was being led to another room a ball of light so he followed it and the one room he was in vanished into darkness he saw King Stefan and Queen Leah watch the three fairies take the young princess away he didn't understand given what that Maleficent had said then he saw the ball of light calling to him he followed it and as before the room vanished into darkness this time he was in another room like a nursery where another baby was he saw King Stefan holding the baby he said "My sweet Paige, today would've been your christening but I can't have anything for fear she will return and curse you as well like she did to your sister" Queen Leah walked in she said "That's why she's our little hope my love" Gaston saw the Queen walk over to the King he said "I know, it's just been 3 years since we last saw her" she said "I know, but we can hope the three fairies are keeping her safe from her as we will for Paige". Gaston saw the ball of light leading him out of the room he said "Again? Why don't you tell me what this is all about?" but the ball of light kept going so he kept following it to the point he saw the girl much older say 13 years old and she was quite beautiful she was sword-fighting with the guards and doing archery among other things he thought she was quite gifted in all that then he saw the girl was walking and smelling the flowers when she came upon an old woman sitting on a rock with a cane something about that cane looked familiar to Gaston like he had seen it before. The old woman spoke to the girl "You must be Princess Aurora?" the girl said "I'm sorry, I'm her sister Princess Paige" he saw the old woman smile quite wickedly she spoke again "Forgive me dear Princess Paige, I'm just an old woman who has lived past her prime perhaps you can do me the favor of answering my questions?" Princess Paige said "Of course, what thy be these questions then?" she continued "Why haven't the kingdom seen Princess Aurora? Has she been locked away from the world because of that Maleficent dark fairy cursed her?" Princess Paige didn't reply Gaston saw the saddness on the princess' face the old woman had struck a nerve he thought to himself. She spoke again "What be her age about now?" Princess Paige said "I'm 13, so she be 16" the old woman's eyes glowed a bit then Gaston realized who she was and why the cane was so familiar he said "That's Maleficent" he tried to warn the young princess but she couldn't hear him all he did was watch everything unfold. The old woman held the princess' hands she said "Perhaps I can give you a gift, after all I'm just an old woman" she said "Gift? Like what?" she said "Have you found true love already?" she said "Not really? Why?" she held her hands quite tighter this time she said "You will never know true love or feel it, it will escape you, you may know the signs of it and the looks of it but you may never partake in it this is my gift to you" the princess let go of her seeing the marks that was left on her wrists seemed like burn marks from a rope she said "Who are you?" the old woman's disguise melted away and she stood tall and frightening as ever before Gaston saw fear in the princess' eyes when she uttered "MALEFICENT" she said "So sweet Princess Paige, it seems your parents should've sent me an invitation to your sister's christening but it seems to me they forgot on you?" she said "They didn't have one for me because of what you did to my sister" she said "Ha, here's another gift for you" she grabbed hold of her she said "If you do find true love your heart will sting of pain as if I ripped it out myself sweet princess my gift to you a lovely curse your sister will fall under a slumber as you will too if you feel true love and the thing is it won't come to you because you will die because of it" she said "No" she said "Now, tell your father King Stefan that he shouldn't mess with me" Gaston saw Maleficent cursed the princess like she did to her sister then he saw the ball of light it wanted him to follow once again and as always he did. Gaston was out in the woods when he saw 16 year old girl she had golden blonde hair and she was dancing about almost identical to his Briar Rose then he saw the three fairies who appear to be old peasant women when the girl greeted them one of them called her "Briar Rose" he said to himself "That's not my Briar Rose". Then the ball of light led him to the castle again he saw the blonde princess following a ball of light with a tint of green to it and she came to a stop where a spinning wheel was he said "Don't do it, it's a trap" but she couldn't hear him and she touched it he saw Maleficent figure again she was thrilled to curse the princess he saw the princess on a bed surrounded by the three fairies he heard them say "Princess Aurora" he said "That's Princess Paige's sister" the landscape changed he saw a prince fight Maleficent and saw her change into a dragon he said "Didn't see that coming" he saw the prince go and kiss Princess Aurora with true love's kiss and she was reunited with her family again he saw the ball of light he said "Why show me this? I don't understand? What' s the point?" but the ball of light went onward and he followed like a dog after a bone. He was in another castle this time it had two people who were sword-fighting he didn't understand what was worth knowing here the boy took his mask off he said "How is it you keep beating me dear cousin?" she took off her mask he saw it was his Briar Rose she said "That's because I'm a quick study and I love a challenge" he liked her quick wit he said "Like with hunting foxes?" she said "Duh, by the way why am I not invited anymore?" he said "You know why?" she said "Because I embarrassed you in front of the guys?" he said "Yeah" she said "You do realize I was a isolated princess? I grew up sword-fighting guards, archery and hunting with them" he walked up to her he said "I'm sorry for that dear cousin, whoever you marry will be lucky to know you have those qualities" she said "You think so?" he said "I do, if he gives you any problems I'll deal with him myself" she hugged him Gaston saw the ball of light he said "This has to do with my girl?" the ball of light led him onward into a room it seemed several days had passed it he saw that boy and his girl along with another who wasn't as beautiful as his girl King Kit said "You should go in my place, Princess Paige" she said "It's been forever since I've seen Prince Adam" King Kit said "More reason for you to go and you get to meet his bride-to-be, who knows perhaps you can find your own happy ending like you helped me with Ella" Queen Ella said "He's right, dear friend you should have what me and Kit have, you deserve it" she said "I do, it's just.." King Kit said "Then it's settled you're off to new horizons". Gaston led to the castle and he knew it quite well, it's Beast's castle he saw her as she greeted him and Belle then seeing her riding her horse into his village where she met Pere Roberts giving the name "Briar Rose" then seeing her dancing with the children and to the horse stable with her horse when he appeared he admired he looked good from the back then seeing her turn to him something about it was special and following to the tavern he saw himself talking about his stories but he saw her fascinated by everything he said to himself "She truly liked me but why did she have to go". The ball of light led him to when they went hunting when he helped her down from her horse he saw the way she looked at him he said to himself "I should've kissed her then, it looked like she wanted it" he noticed her conversation with Belle he said "She's fallen for me" then he saw her come to the tavern she looked upset he wondered why she didn't come in and then he saw why those three village lasses that follow him wherever he turns he said to himself "Why won't they bother someone else for a change" he saw her speak to LeFou then climb up on her horse and ride off which was when he saved her from the wolves he saw her relieved when he arrived but the shock took over knowing she was about to be dead and she collapsed into his arms he saw the ball of light he said "This has to do with Briar..Paige right?" the ball of light glowed brighter as if it was "yes" to his question and like before he was taken to his room where she awakened from a dream he was gone but he saw LeFou beside her who was eager to get him but she stopped him he heard say "I have a confession I must tell you LeFou and he mustn't know, it's a secret" he wondered what his girl would tell LeFou and the ball of light changed the scenery once again he saw her dressed up it was the day of Belle's wedding she had taken piece of paper out and began to write he saw tears fall from her face and then saw her put the paper into envelope with his name on it he saw her greeted by a old gentleman he looked like Maurice in age but dressed like a noble he spoke to her and she followed him out where they ran into LeFou and Stanley of all people he saw her give LeFou the letter and heard her say "Give this to him for me, if he doesn't understand then tell him my secret" LeFou said "I will do that" he saw tears in her eyes and watched her leave in a carriage he appeared in the carriage as well the old man said "I know it's difficult princess but you made the right decision hopefully The Three Good Fairies found a way to break the curse on you it's been 2 years" she said "Why did I trust that old woman, uncle?" he said "Because you are compassionate and kind you were raised that way by my sister and your father" she said "I should've seen something was amiss" he said "Look at all the good you've done for King Kit and countless others in 2 years" she said "Because I know the signs and the looks of true love, I have that with him, with Gaston" Gaston's heart felt a twinge he said to himself "True love?" the old man said "Once the curse is broken, I'll bring him to you" she said "He may hate me, and move on with one of the village lasses that throw themselves at him" Gaston said "No I wouldn't, you are meant for me Briar.. Paige I will not give up on us I will fight for it till my last breath". He appeared in the woods where he saw a tent and her singing to the night sky and the stars and her making a wish for him to understand everything she's doing because she loves him and that love is true he saw her felt a twinge of pain as it took her breath away she turned and went into a tent he understood why she left he saw the ball of light just there not moving he said "Her wish for me to understand her past and present? I understand but I won't give up on us like everything in her life true love can endure and I will fight for that". The ball of light changed into her she stood there she said "Gaston" he said "You showed me your life and why you left why couldn't you tell me?" she walked up to him she said "I wanted to so much but the curse wouldn't let me" he was able to touch her unlike the memories of before he said "How can I touch you now?" she said "Magic, we are in a dream anything is possible and here the curse doesn't affect me so I can tell you anything I want" he caressed her face he said "I love you Paige" she said "You finally said my name" he said "I like it over Briar Rose, simple just like you" she said "I love you Gaston, more than life itself so many times I wanted to say it I think the first time was when you saved me from the wolves but I couldn't" he said "I won't give up on us, I will come for you and to hell with the curse I will break it" she had tears falling from her face she said "I know what you say you will do but nothing can, not even The Three Good Fairies" he said "You've given up?" she said "For 4 years I've endured this curse and now I've lost you Gaston, I'm going home to my family where I be safe you have no idea the enemies I've made within the last 2 years" he said "I will take them down to have you back in my arms once more" she felt a twinge of pain she collapsed he caught her he said "What's happening?" she said "I'm waking up and the magic is fading fast" he said "Then know this, I'm coming for you and you will be my wife" she said "Madam Gaston, does have a nice ring to it" he said "Princess Madam Gaston" she said "I accept your offer Gaston, I will marry you" then she vanished into the air he woke up to his room and she woke up to the ground of the tent Sir Bromley said "You were talking in your sleep? You called his name out" she said "It was a good dream uncle, it felt magical".
