"Mamu! I want to go there!" Thirdy shouted while he ran from the house, pointing at the dirty ice cream vendor.

"Theo!" Charmaine followed his twin brother and she held his hand.

I sighed and went to them. Ngumiti ako at tinitigan ng maayos ang anak. I can't believe they are four already. How time flies fast.

Today is Sunday. It's supposed to be our family day but Richard cannot make it. Matapos niyang magresign bilang isang judge ay binuksan niya ulit ang firm.

As for the marriage...

He never asked me about it pagbalik namin ng Manila. I don't want to be the one who's rushing pero pakiramdam ko ay hindi na ako makakapaghintay. I am too full of pride to open the topic and I don't want wait any longer.

I was too busy thinking when my phone beeped. Agad ko itong sinagot nang nakita kong si Dean ang tumatawag.

"Dean," I breathed.

"Ate." Tumikhim siya. "Nanay wants to see the twins. Can they sleepover?"

"We can't, Dean. I have work tomorrow."

"'Yung kambal na lang, teng? I want to play with Thirdy. Walang kwentang kalaro si Nico."

Napaisip ako. "I'll tell Richard about it. May training si Charm bukas."

"Huwag mo nang sabihin kay Kuya. Sinabi ko na sa kanya before I called."

I rolled my eyes and told him to fetch the twins and dropped the call. Umakyat ako sa aming kwarto para ihanda ang gamit ng dalawa nang tumawag naman si Richard.

What's with the excessive phone calls from these guys?

"Yes?" I asked him.

"Can we meet tonight?" his tone was serious that I thought my heart stopped.

"Um..." I blinked twice, "Okay. Here?"

"No... go to my unit by 7PM." And the call got disconnected.

"Mamu! Was that Dada?" Thirdy asked while licking his elbow full of ice cream. Ngumisi ako at kumuha ng towel sa mga gamit nila ni Charmaine.

"Yes, bub." I answered. "You're going to sleep in Naynay's tonight, okay?"

Sunod-sunod ang pagtango ni Thirdy. "What about Mamu?" he asked again.

"Mamu will meet Dada." Pinunasan ko ang braso niya pati ang kanyang mukha na punong-puno ng ice cream.

"Will you make a baby brother?" he asked innocently. Halos maubo ako sa tanong niya.

"No, baby. We will talk about work, and your schooling." Palusot ko. Hindi ko din alam ang pag-uusapan namin.

"But Tito Nico told me that when Mamu and Dada goes out, they try to make a baby brother for me and Charm?"

Nico, that bastard!

Nang sinundo na ang kambal ni Dean ay naghanda na din ako para pumunta kay Richard. I just wore an off-shoulder dress paired with a cream colored pumps. Ni hindi na ako nagmake-up o kahit magsuot man lang ng mga alahas.

I guess that's one downside of having kids. I shrugged as I entered his unit and was surprised to see someone.

Someone not Richard.
