RJ'S POV

"Anak," Daddy went inside my office and patted my back. "You're still working," he said. It wasn't a question.

Agad akong tumango at ibinalik ang atensyon sa kasong pinag-aaralan ko ngayon. Inayos ko ang aking salamin at ininuman ang inihatid sa aking kape kanina lamang.

"Maybe you should rest."

Umiling ako. "Tomorrow's the hearing, Dad." Simple kong sagot.

"How about you let Trisha handle that?"

Tinignan ko siya ng isang beses. "I can't let my clients down, Dad."

Agad nitong kinuha ang mga papel sa aking kamay at tipid akong nginitian. "Maine's family wants her to marry you. Anong opinion mo doon, 'nak?"

Natigilan ako saglit. "For what reason, Dad? There must be a reason. Is her family in danger? Was she harmed?" Sunod sunod kong tanong.

Hindi sumagot agad si Daddy at bumuntong hininga. "Her Dad's client threatened their family. Isa-isa daw silang uubusin. Teodoro is worried about his family."

Tumango ako, my attention is now to my father alone. Kinagat ko ang ibaba kong labi. "Continue, Dad."

"Last night, may sumunod sa sasakyan ni Maine. Hindi nila alam kung sino but she was being followed the whole day."

Those bastards! "Alam ba ni Maine?"

"Hindi. Ayaw ring sabihin ni Teodoro sa kanyang asawa at mga anak dahil baka mag-alala daw. You're still active in Muay Thai, right?"

"Probably that's why Nico and Coleen transferred to their old house." Utas ko.

"Ted just wants his family safe. And I understand him. Alam ko 'ring mahal mo si Maine, anak."

I stopped. He knows?

Ngumiti siya sa akin at tumungo na sa pinto. "Pag-isipan mong mabuti, 'nak." He said before finally closing the door.

Present.

"RJ!!" Sigaw ni Maine habang binabagtas namin ang beach. "Let's swim!" Yaya niya sa akin.

Hindi ako sumagot. Instead I held her waist and kissed her hair.

"You go swim. Papanoorin lang kita. No flirting."

Namula siya agad at hinampas ang braso ko. I chuckled. Damn, it feels nice to have this kind of authority over her.

Over my wife.

Agad siyang bumitaw sa akin at huminto sa isang lilim ng coconut tree... or whatever the name of the tree is.

And to my surprise, she removed the thin layer of her romper and revealed her yellow bikini na bukas ang likod.

What the actual fuck, I whispered to myself. Mariin akong napapikit, stopping myself from reprimanding her.

Gago ka ba Richard! Nasa beach kayo. Normal na magbibikini yang asawa mo. Kinagat ko ang pangibabang labi ko at lumapit sa kanya.

"You... don't have another bikini?" Tanong ko sa kanya.

She nodded. "Meron. Pero yung green yun na knitted ang top."

Knitted? May butas?!

"Wala nang iba?" I asked again. I would storm inside the hotel just to get her another bikini, damn it!

"Um... hindi ko alam," she answered innocently. "Si Riza yung nagpack ng bikinis ko."

That evil wench!! I will pinch her ears when I get back!

Napalunok ako at bumaling sa kanya na ngayon ay papunta na sa dagat. The beach is pretty secluded, halos sampung tao lang ang naliligo at lahat naman ay busy sa kani-kanilang pinaggagawa. Still, I cannot seem to relax myself.

Groaning, I immediately removed my top and followed her. I'm sure we had the same reaction when I saw her remove her dress.

It's payback, baby. I smirked and held her hand.
