The girl stood there, arms crossed with an unfriendly look on her face. Ruel stood up but when he did she just walked away. Ruel chased after her and I just looked at Levi confused. I wasn't that confused I know that Ruel was involved with her some how but I didn't want to jump to conclusions. She did look pretty unhappy and if there was something between them I didn't want to be the one who ended it. I picked myself up and gave Levi a quick glance then grab my stuff and ran up to Levi's house. I grabbed my keys, got in my car and just drove.
*RUEL'S POV*
I look up to see Mary, she wasn't happy. Its not like I did anything just the situation made it look like it. I got up quickly and chased after her.
"Mary! It's honestly not what it looks like. We got pushed by the wave and we fell."
"Well you looked pretty happy to me and I saw the whole thing happen Ruel. You stayed like that for a minute."
I was speechless. I didn't want to hurt Mary but I think I'm falling for Y/n.
"I think it's over Ruel."
"What...why?"
"I don't know if I feel the same way as I did when we first started dating. This didn't start it I've been feeling like this for a while."
I just stood there helpless. Mary walked away and I didn't know what to think.
I was still standing there until I felt someone touch me on my shoulder. It was Levi.
"It's over..."
"I wouldn't be worried about that mate. Y/n went as soon as you chased Mary. I think she's more upset with herself."
"Shit I need to go explain."
"I think you should leave it for a bit, let her cool off."
"Talk to her at school tomorrow."
"What do you mean we don't go to school together."
"Oh didn't she tell you she's moving to our school."
"Well isn't that going to be great for her. Mary isn't going to treat her great after today"
"Shit, well Y/n is strong and she'll have us."
*Y/N POV*
I've been driving for a while now. So I decided to go back to Levi's and grab my stuff then get ready for the interesting first day of my new school tomorrow.
*next day*
I woke up at around 6am, which is really early for me. I wanted to go for a surf before school to calm me down. So I chucked on my swimsuit and ran out to the beach. Of course the people I just didn't want to see right now were out there.
"Hey I know what I did was wrong but I just want to warn you that Mary might get a little angry. I didn't want this to happen but I'm an idiot. Mary and I just split. I want you to know Levi and I will be there for you."
I just stood there speechless. Of course my first day at a new school is going to be filled with drama but I couldn't get angry with Ruel about it. I wanted to, don't get me wrong but I physically couldn't.
Levi ran up to me and gave me a hug.
"Thank you, see you at school." I just blurted out and ran towards the ocean I needed it's therapy.
After my short but pleasant surf I got home had a shower and got ready for school. I didn't really care much about my appearance so I chuck on an outfit, put my hair up out of my face and ran downstairs to leave.

I got to school and couldn't help but feel eyes staring at me. I saw Levi and ran up to him giving him another hug. Then I saw Ruel approaching us and when he finally got to us our eyes met and silence began. As per usual Levi broke the silence.
"So I guess welcome to your new school. What class do you have first?"
"Um Maths methods."
"Jeez, we've got us a smarty pants."
"Thanks Ruel I guess."
"Don't worry I'm in the same class."
"Great."
Ruel and I actually had basically all classes together. Which I was, not going to lie, happy about. The bell went and we walked into class. I sat at the back with Ruel and I sat there looking anxious. Ruel caught on and whispered in my ear.
"Don't worry Mary isn't in this class."
"Who said I was worried about that."
"I'm just a mind reader."
I looked at him and laughed. We got through the first two periods and met up with Levi for our first break. We were sitting at a table when Mary and two of her friends came up to us. She looked Ruel in the eyes and said.
"I hope you two are happy." with a faked smile.
Ruel was about to responded but I bet him to it.
"We aren't together and you would know that if you let Ruel have a chance at explaining."
"That's not what everyone thinks, anyway I don't have time to speak to Ruel's sloppy seconds I've already wasted enough."
(I don't hate Mary, this is just the character she is betraying in the story.)
Ruel went to step in to defend me but I just looked at him. He knew that Mary just wanted a reaction so he stopped himself. Mary walked off with her 'minions' following and I just wanted to get out of this place.
"I'm really sorry Y/n."
"It's not your fault she's just not as smart as I imagined."
They both let out a little chuckle and we went on chatting. I knew that if I just ignored Mary and just not let what she says to me get to me I would be ok and she would end up stopping but Mary was more resilient then I had anticipated.
