Divide and Conquer (Sequel to Behind Enemy Lines)

Chapter One:Requested Upon Arrival

We soon arrive to the very familiar S.H.I.E.L.D. base. It looks the same. Just a regular building apart of New York. With the first floor looking like a lobby. We exit with our bags in our hands. Thor and I follow Slater and Ramirez to an elevator. Then we asend up. After ten more floors we exit. Hm... haven't been on this floor before. It looks like office building. There's some doors. We enter the one farthest right. Fury, Clint, Natasha, Steve, Clarice, and Bruce are in there. Tony's the only one missing. Everyone stares at us.

"You can sit. Thank you Ramirez and Slater for getting them," Fury says.

Slater and Ramirez nod their heads and walk out. Thor and I begin to proceed to walk to a seat. I sit at the farthest end. Thor sits next to me. I look down then start to think of Loki again. A smile spreads across my face.

"Someone's happy," Clint says. I look up.

"Huh," I ask only grinning this time.

"I said someone's happy. You're smiling all wide," Clint says.

"Just thinking of something."

The door opens then. Everyone looks at the entrance.

"The party can start now," Tony said.

We roll our eyes. Tony sits down next to Thor. On the left of Tony is Thor. On Tony's right is Clarice. Then Steve, Bruce, Clint, and Natasha. Fury is infront of Natasha but on the other side of the table. Fury begins rambling on about something. I'm not listening. I'm looking down. Then Fury says something that catches my attention.

"Loki has been sen around the New York area," Fury states.

My body tenses up. I look up. Everyone's already staring at me. I swallow before speaking.

"Where exactly," I ask.

"He has been all over New York. So there hasn't been an exact spot he's been," Fury replys.

Before anyone could say something there was an explosion. We all looked around. Fury started talking into a walkie talkie.

"What's going on," Fury asked.

"It's Loki. He's here," an agent replied.

My body acted before my mind did which caused me to stand up.

"Where is he," Fury questioned.

"The third floor," the same agent said.

I ran out of the room. My eyes darted around. The door to the stairs were quickly spotted. I ran to the door. Someone's calling my name. I don't listen to them. Instead I run through the door and down the stairs. The seven flights of stairs didn't take that long to go down. I'm on the third floor. This is where the explosion happened.

"Araceli," Thor calls.

I stop and look up. Thor's leaning over the railing looking at me.

"I'm sorry Thor," I say then run through the door.

The door swings open, almost falling off in the process. The whole area is a mess. Some agents run by me. There's two agents on the floor a few away from me. I run to them. It's Ramirez and Slater. Ramirez is unconscious on the floor. Slater is groaning and holding his side.

"Slater are you alright," I ask.

He moans again. He's clenching his jaw.

"I'm in a lot of pain," Slater manages to say.

"Someone's coming for you," I say.

I get up and turn on my heel. I almost collide with someone. They're body is a few inches away from mine. This person is wearing armor. I know who it is. My heart rate started to pick up. Following that my breathing hitched. I slowly look up, taking everything about him in. My nose is filled with his vanilla smell. He has always smelled like vanilla. My eyes travel from his lips to eyes. I aslo notice he's wearing his gold horned helmet. When our eyes meet I stare into his dark green eyes.

"Loki," I whisper.

Ooooo. Loki's back. What do you think is going to happen? The next chapter will explain. Again I'm terribly sorry for not updating in a while. Like earlier stated my lazy ass just didn't type. But I'm going to try and update more often. Sorry for all the grammatical errors. I type terrible late at night. Do you see the picture on the side? My sister (MonstrousMickey) told me to put the picture up. Since what happened at the end of this chapter. The song put up is Don't Stand So Close To Me by The Police. That was my idea to put it up. I was listening to this song while typing the end. I found it ironic. Since Loki is so close to Araceli. And the lovely cover was made by my sister (MonstrousMickey). She did an excelent job.
