Sakura and Ino couldn't believe their ears. They could've sworn Sasuke has been single all this time, and if not, he's been having flings with random girls.

"It'll be a year in about two weeks," Sasuke chimes in finally. He notices the surprised looks on the girls' faces and internally smirks at their shock. "C'mon babe, let's go to the arcade."

Sakura reluctantly scoots out of his way so he can reach his girlfriend. [Name] pouts a little and says, "I was just getting used to skating."

"I know, but I want to kick your ass in some video games," he says as he stands in front of her. He knows that comment will ignite the competitive side out of her and he can finally drag his girlfriend somewhere that isn't next to these bimbos.

He crouches and starts untying her laces, loosening the skates on her feet. He pulls them off to reveal her colorful striped socks. She wiggles her toes and stands up.

"For our date tomorrow, can we do karaoke?" [Name] asks, a little hopeful. Sasuke shakes his head as he drags [Name] off.

"No, I have something special for you tomorrow."

Sasuke and [Name] return the skates and receive their shoes back. He pulls her to the arcade, avoiding the prying eyes of Sakura and Ino. [Name] has had a question for Sasuke buzzing in her head for a little while now, but didn't want to ask it in front of those other girls.

Once Sasuke finds a game, he puts a coin in. [Name] taps him on the shoulder and says, "Hey Sasuke."

He does his usual grunt to let her know he's listening. "Hn?"

"Sakura, that's that girl who's like, your backup right?" She asks as he focuses on starting the game.

"What the hell are you talking about?" He grumbles as he shoots the spaceships down one by one.

"Remember when you told me who your backup girl was? Sakura Hanaro?" She questions again.

"Her last name is Haruno," Sasuke corrects, but his focus never leaves from the screen in front of him.

"Yeah! Sakura Haruno!" She says excitedly. "She's really pretty, I see why you'd pick her."

Sasuke's muscles tense and he releases his hold on the joystick and the buttons. He swivels around to fully face his girlfriend. He stares her down before grabbing both of her hands.

"Don't you even think about comparing yourself to her," he sneers. "She's a good for nothing, insolent, loud bitch and I can't stand her."

"But, she's your backup-"

"No! Heavens no! I love you and I don't want to be with anyone else," He explains as their fingers intertwine. "I lied to you that night, okay?"

[Name] is flustered about his casual confession and decides to change the subject. She looks to the blaring screen of the arcade game and watches as Sasuke's character dies from multiple shots coming from the enemies. The screen flashes the words GAME OVER and shows the highscores.

"You lost your game," she points out. Sasuke turns to look at the screen and groans when he sees Itachi's name as the highest score. He turns back to [Name] and pulls her into a hug.

"I don't care about that stupid game," he mumbles into her neck.

As they're hugging, Ino and Sakura peek around the corner watching their sweet moment together. Ino only glares at the scene before her, feeling an overwhelming heat spread throughout her body. She's angry that another girl got to Sasuke first. Sakura, on the other hand, feels numb when she stares at [Name] and Sasuke.
