A world of grey
A world of walls
Every day
I wander through halls
A treasure of toys
A tangle of wires
These were all joys
I thought I desired
Beside my kin
Right where I curled
Is all where I've Been
For this is my world
It was all I've ever known
Till eyes set upon our blood
And outside we were thrown
As if our roots were of mud
A world of blue
A world of us
Everything was new
Escape was a must
Beings with the same skin
Beings that used familiar tongue
All started to begin
When I felt the heat of the sun
The warmth of its rays
The sight of the sky
Throughout the days
The clouds flew by
Never before have I eyed
Such an abundance of color
Right there my heart cried
For my world grew smaller
Let me be part of this
I begged as I rasped
Oh how much I've missed
While I was trapped
I realized something
As the stars were at home
That my world was nothing
And that I was alone
