"Mario, report in!" Rosalina said and called the red plumber over. You glanced over at Luigi with a mischievous look in your eyes.
"Captain Mario has left his post! I repeat, Captain Mario has left his post!" You cheered as Luigi's frustrated expression turned into triumphant one. "Ready? FIRE!"
Multicolored tiny star bits rained down on your shared battleground. They weren't heading for yours however, they were heading for Mario's fortress in hoping to tear it down in one single swoop. (L/N) let out cries of anguish as the star bits were successful.
You giggled as your luma companion threw down the piece they were playing with and let out annoyed chirps. Luigi chuckled along with your giggling, a smile on his face.
"Hey! My fortress!" Looking up from the game field, was Mario; he looked frustrated. He shook his head in despair, excepting defeat. "That doesn't matter now, Rosalina said that Bowser Jr. is holding a Grand Star! We need to get it back!" Luigi was already up and you smiled brightly at his bravery.
You stood up as well, placing your piece down and told (L/N) to watch over it. They chirped a "yes ma'am and watched you walk off with the Mario Bros. onto your next adventure.

You landed on the tiny planet that the Grand Star was on. It was quite small, and a inactive robot was just in front of you. "Mario! Luigi! Stand guard!" Nodding to your order, the bros walked forward in cautious steps.
"Bwa ha ha ha ha ha ha!"
Looking up, you noticed a younger self of Bowser come flying down jumping in what seemed to be a victory pose. "You want the Grand Star so badly!? Well come and get it!" He said cheerily before laying his red ruby eyes on your frame.
Quickly, his demeanor changed as he glared at you with fury and crossed his arms. "What are you doing you dumb faced (e/c) star bit twit? Do you even remember your mission!?" You tilted your head. Mission? What is this guy talking about?
In the corner of your eye you noticed Mario and Luigi's confused stares burning your face. "Apparently you don't. But that's okay, once I flatten you... YOU WON'T EVER GET IN MY WAY AGAIN!" He laughed again as his giant robot activated and flew away.
Because of the robot's giant legs you called him 'Megaleg'. It seemed to sound familiar but you don't remember where you heard it before.
And the battle raged on.
