Chapter 1

You were preoccupied with your thinking, you almost didn't notice your luma companion floating in front of your face chirping in an alarming tone. Your luma shook your shoulder, as you snapped out of your thoughts. "Huh? What's the matter (L/N)?"

Before (L/N) could chirp a reply, you were hugged from behind causing you to squeak in protest. "(Y/N)! It's finally glad to see you in person!" Mario said as he let you out of his hug. You calmed down when you realized it was only Mario and smiled.

Turning around to face the plumber you kept the smile on your face. "It's nice to meet in person too. Say, where's Luigi?" Mario chuckled rubbing the back of his neck. "Well, he had to fix your surprise after someone decided it would be a good idea to break it."

You frowned, your hands tightnening into fists at the thought of someone breaking something a friend made for you. (L/N) let out a series of angry chirps.

"Hey Mario! I finished (Y/N)'s surprise!" Luigi called, running towards the two of you. You smiled brightly at his words a light blush dusting your cheeks. "Aww, thanks Luigi! That's so sweet of you!"

The taller brother shook his head and handed you the box he was clinging onto. "Here! This is your surprise, I hope you like it!" You opened the box and gasped a surprise look on your features. There was a necklace, seeming made out of coins as it glowed in the moon's light.

The design was what appeared to be you and your luma companion with you holding your luma's little hand. (L/N) seemed to like the surprise as they made sweet little chirps. You put the necklace on with the help of Mario and hugged Luigi.

"Thank you Luigi! It's really beautiful!" Luigi's cheeks turned rosy as he looked away an embarrassed smile on his face. "It's no problem, really. Anyway, welcome to the Mushroom Kingdom!"
