Y/N woke up and stretched. At first, she thought everything that happened was all a dream. Until she saw Nica hopping on her bed.

"Good. It wasn't all a dream," she smiled as she pet Nica.

She got up and dressed nice since she was planning on going back to Halloween Town.

She looked in the mirror and smiled. She quickly ate her favorite breakfast and walked toward the door.

"Come on, Nica," she called and walked through the door.

Y/N remembered when she was little, her parents would take her into the woods where these doors were on trees and they represented different holidays. They would tell her stories of each one and she loved hearing them. So she thought that maybe she could go to Halloween Town through the pumpkin-shaped door. So that's where she went.

She found the exact door and opened it. She jumped in and Nica followed her. Once there she was surrounded by a cemetery and walked around until she found Jack inside this huge house through a window. She walked to the house and rang the doorbell that was a scream, making her giggle. She heard footsteps and the door opened to reveal a stunned Jack.

"Y/N? Hi," he said.

"Hi," she returned.

"Come on in," Jack invited.

"Thanks," Y/N responded.

She walked in his home and she looked around. It was a place she would like to live in herself.

"I'm glad you came, but how did you get here?" Jack asked.

Y/N giggled and explained, "When I was little, my parents took me in the woods where these trees with doors on them that would take you to where the holidays came from. I just never went in any one of them."

"Ah. Makes sense. So, since you're here, would you like a tour of Halloween Town?" he offered.

"I would," she smiled.

He smiled as well and they left immediately.

As they walked around, Y/N met each monster and they all liked her. She may have been human, but she loved anything to do with scaring people. When they kept going, they ran into Oogie's kids; they loved her. Jack couldn't help but smile at how Y/N was getting along with everyone in Halloween Town.

Later that night, Jack brought Y/N back to his place. They sat on the couch.

"Can I ask you something?" she requested.

"Yes. Anything," he said.

"Okay," Y/N replied then asked as she sat on the couch, "What got you interested in Christmas?"

Jack chuckled and answered as he sat beside her, "Well, it's a long story."

She scooted closer, placed her chin in her hands, and stated, "I got time."

He smiled and started explained the story from the beginning.

"For the longest time, I felt like I was missing something. I wasn't happy with the life I was leading. On Halloween night, I wondered into the woods where I ended up sleepwalking. When I woke up the next morning, I ended up at those doors you were told about as a child. I found the Christmas door and went inside. I loved everything about it: the lights, the trees, the presents. I even found out about Sandy Claws that way. When I came back, I showed it to the monsters here, but they only thought of it as another scary holiday. Then I got a little obsessed with it that I couldn't help but want to spread it this year," Jack said.

"Really?" Y/N wondered with a chuckle.

"Yes. Come and let me show you," he requested, holding out his bone hand.

She accepted it and they went upstairs. She saw the tree he had, the chalkboard with formulas for Christmas, toys in liquid-filled jars, stacks of Christmas books, the snowflake he made with the spider in the middle, and the lights that he had wrapped around his electric chair. Her jaw dropped as she walked around.

"See what I mean?" Jack asked.

"I do, but I wouldn't call this 'a little' obsessed; I'd call it 'a lot' obsessed. Not that that's a bad thing," Y/N said as she picked a doll up off the floor.

"Yeah. I really went overboard with it," he remarked, scratching his skull.

She walked toward him and placed her hand in his. He looked at her a little stunned.

"I wouldn't say that. You wanted to bring the same thing to children that Santa gave them every year, which is understandable. You did overthink it though. Christmas isn't about toys, trees, or lights. It's about the joy of being with your friends and family. You had that with you all along," Y/N explained.

Jack couldn't help but smile and he hugged her, which she returned.

"Thank you, Y/N," he said.

"You're welcome, Jack," she responded, they parted, she smirked as she held up the spider snowflake, then commented, "By the way, nice snowflake."

He chuckled and lightly punched her shoulder.

He then took her and Nica home. Once there and ready for bed, they thought of what could happen in the future.
