The next day, Louis was woken up very early by his little sister. Rose was very excited about finally visiting the castle, she has been dreaming of this for quite a while now. Don't get it wrong, the mansion was also very grand and luxurious but due to Rose being so young and dependent she wasn't taken out very often. When she did go out it was usually with Alice, so she was very happy about going to a party together with her brother and father.

After being rudely woken up even earlier than his morning schedule usually started, Louis was dragged to try out a bunch of various kinds of clothes by his mother and sister. They seemed to enjoy dressing him up a lot as almost any kind of clothes seemed to suit him. It was a bit weird that almost all of his clothes were designed for kids around 8-9, Louis was surely taller than kids his age, mostly probably because he started physical training so early in his life and also nourished the meridians with mana properly, there was no doubt that he would grow up to be a handsome young man in the future.

By the time they finally finished the preparation for the debut party, Louis was much more exhausted than he usually was after morning training and that seriously said a lot since Richard never went easy on him. After receiving a sympathetic look from his father, Louis and his family got in the carriage, departing to the palace.

The royal palace was practically beaming with people, which was no wonder. The kingdom's crown prince who was also the only successor for now, was having a debut party, what more reason would nobles need for gathering around?

Most nobles were split up in groups, it was easy to distinguish it even in this kind of society, where everyone wore a polite smile on their face. Late arrivals quickly found their place of standings after greeting the duke; it seemed that relationships here were mostly based on status, people close to the same status flocked together more, or they were just secretly baring their fangs at each other. Even in a situation like this everyone immediately noticed the duke's presence.

It wasn't all because the duke was the highest position after the royal family, an addition was that the person himself was an unreachable existence. He was titled as war demon because of his accomplishments at the time of the war, was talented in managing the households and business and to top this all off, he could use magic. Not only that but his wife was amazing as well, water goddess who has also contributed greatly during the times of war, they were truly a destined couple. As soon as they came into the ball room, everyone's attention got drawn to them.

Most of the nobles that had a good relationship with Archbelt household wanted to go and greet him but Richard went straight to greeting the king. Paying your respect to the monarch was a must after all, but there was another reason.

"greetings your highness, honor to the empire"

Richard used a standard greeting phrase between nobles as the whole family bowed down slightly. As a duke household, they didn't need to bow very deeply or get to their knees, a small bow was enough. This was one of the privileges of those with high status.

"It's good to see you as well Richard, I can see that you have been doing quite well, as mentioned before, drop the formalities when no one is close by!"

The king smiled friendly, he and Richard were very close friends as they had studied in the academy at around the same time, also being comrades during the war. Richard simply smiled back, shaking his head in disagreement.

"you know I can't do that right now your highness, not in this kind of setting" After saying which Richard moved slightly to the side, revealing two children, one much smaller than the other, which was sticking to elder's side "allow me to introduce my children"
