{chapter 15}

[vanessa's pov]

after we got of the plane, mike got us an uber to new york city. i was super duper excited. ive always wanted to stay in new york

as we got closer and closer to the city i could see all the tall skyscrapers and bright lights. it was all so captavting and beautiful

then we were there. new york city, the city of dreams. where you can be whoever you want to be. i think that was what i was the most excited for. here in new york i can be me. not that i usally cant, but it feels nice to know that im in a place where no one cares. maybe i can find someone to distract me from my L.A issues.

micheal rolled down his window and stuck his hand out "welcome to new york!!"

i looked at him and smiled, then copying his act but sticking my head out the window as well "woohoooo!"

then micheal began to point out all of the major things we would later go and see

"right now were in times square. but if we were to turn left and stay straight we'd near 5th avenue where all the high class stores are like gucci, and louis vuitton. and over there is..."

micheal went on and on about everything we passed. but i was still in awe of the beautiful city we were in. i couldn't wait to get out and explore

"hey nessa, don't you know that guy?" mike said pointing to something

i turned to face his window to see what he was talking about

"know who mi-"

right infront of us was a billboard with travis' face on it.

the billboard read:

Wensday Night at 9pm

i completly zoned out

"vanessa? vanessa? VANESSA?!" mike said waving his hand infront of my face, finally snaping me out of my day dreams

"huh?"

"i asked if you knew him. do you?"

"yeah, i do. He's madelaine's boyfriend"

"that's travis"

i nodded my head "he does a lot of rapping. has a huge fanbase. and so do i and madelaine and they love me with charles and they love madelaine and travis together and i don't know how they'll react if travis finds out about our kiss. i'll get hit with death threats all over again and i dont know if i can handle that another time. and i can't even imagine how-"

"woah woah woah" micheal placed his hand on my shoulder, stopping my rant
"your ok. i invited you to come to new york so you can escape all this. we'll just stay in the hotel wensday night"

"wait. does travis coming mean madelaine will come to? shit i have to text her and tell her not to come with travis"

"but it'll give away where you are"

"she's gonna find out either way"

"you know that if you tell her that she'll want to come even more"

"but she won't know where i am. we're staying in the hotel remember?"

"right"

i was about to text madelaine when the car stopped and our uber driver turned around to face us

"vanessa my kids love you. you were their favorite character back when you were on my babysitter's a vampire. and they can't wait to see you play toni topaz in riverdaze or something like that"

i giggled, riverdaze

he grabbed a post-it note and a pen from his cup holder and pointed it twords me
"do you mind giving me your autograph? for my kids of course"

"for sure! anything for loyal fans"

i grabbed the pen and post-it note and began to sign it

"what are your kids name sir?"

"annie and morgan"

i finshed signing the paper to annie and morgan and handed it back to our driver

"thank you so much ms. morgan, here let me get your bags"

the man scrambeld out the car to the trunk to get our bags. micheal and i tailing behind

the uber driver handed me and micheal our bags "you guys have a great day"

"you to!" me and mike said in unison

"dont forget to rate me 5 stars!" he said as he drove off

i turned around and looked up at the building infront of us

"this isnt a hotel, mike"

"did i say hotel? i meant apartment"

i turned to look at him in shock "you have an apartement in new york?"

"it was my dad's, he used to come up here a lot for work. it was one of the things i got when he died"

i put my hand on his sholder and softly rubbed it "mike" i draged out

"it's ok, im ok" he took a deep breath "you ready?" he asked looking at me

"yeah, i just have to do one thing"

i pulled out my phone and texted madelaine

don't come up to new york with travis

very descret vanessa

i put the phone in my backpocket and then met eyes with mike

"im ready"

micheal smiled at me. then we interlocked fingers and walked into the bulding

ok so when i added micheal in the him cheating rumour wasn't a thing, and i would take him out but he plays an important role later on so i cant :(
