Yugi was running, his breath shallow as he sprints down the paths away from the royal guard who are trying to capture him.
Ever since his parents died, Yugi had to try and avoid the royal guard. Now he had no parents he was supposed to be a slave to the Pharaoh but he tried to rebel since there were rumours that many of the masters in the palace were abusive and mean. So he ran and slipped into the thin alleyway but ran into another guard, who quickly restrained him and he struggled to fight back, getting bruised.
"Stop fighting you pathetic runt!" The guard yelled and Yugi stopped fighting, essentially going limp in the guards arms. "You went limp?" He mutters and Yugi's shaking.
"D-Don't h-hurt m-me..." Yugi begs quietly and the guard sighs before bringing him to the palace with one thought on his mind.
'Why didn't he fight me?'
