Sorry for the prolonged update, I would make an excuse but thats just silly, so here we gooo!

I sit on the bleachers next to Gene and everyone else. They look worried. I rack my mind, trying to figure out what could possibly be bothering all of my friends at the same time. Alas, I can't figure it out.

"Guys, what happened?" I ask, resting my chin on Gene's shoulder.

They all sigh. Sasha says, "You tell her, Gene."

"Tell me what?" I say, crossing my arms and looking at him.

"Well, um, Y/N... the whole school is talking about your family, and how often they fight..." He informs me.

I stomp my foot. "YOU TOLD THEM?!"

"I didn't!" He says throwing his hands up.

"YOU'RE THE ONLY ONE WHO EVEN KNEW!" I shout. "AND THEY DON'T FIGHT THAT OFTEN! JUST AS MUCH AS THE NEXT FAMILY!"

"That's not what everyone's saying..." Zane says, actually looking sorry for once. "Y/N, I went through the same thing as you're going through, we can talk about-"

I stand up. "I'M NOT GOING THROUGH ANYTHING! THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT, GENE!"

I start to cry a bit, but when Gene tries to comfort me, I shove him away. He groans, frustrated. "I didn't tell anyone!"

"THEN, WHO DID?" I say, glaring at him. "MY KITCHEN TABLE?"

I stomp away, down the stairs. Gene follows me and hugs me to him before I can get far. I eventually give up, knowing that he's stronger than me, and I wouldn't be able to get away if I tried. He runs his fingers through my hair.

"You trust me, right?" He asks.

I shrug. "I guess."

"Then you'll trust me when I say, I didn't tell anybody. Why would I? I care about you."

I sigh. "I know... but who told, then? Nobody else even knows."

"I don't know. But, I have an idea... Do you remember those texts that were happening a few days ago?"

I nod. "Yeah."

"Well, maybe whoever sent those texts did it." He says.

"Hmm... that could he a possibility, but how could we check and see when we don't even know?"

"We can't." He sighs. "But, we can keep an eye out for whoever starts spreading rumors about you and see if they send the texts. That could kill two birds with one stone."
