"Um good" Fiona said

"Oh that's good. I actually wanted to-"

"I'm sorry, did the middle of my sentence interrupt the beginning of yours?" Eve asked causing a couple of the kids that were paying attention to them giggle.

Olive frowned.

"Oh, well I really wanted to ask Fiona something" Eve looked at her like she was dumb. Which Eve really thought she was

"Well I dont care" Eve said and Olive glared

"Eve, we talked about this" Emma said and Eve rolled her eyes

"Its not my falt she had the brain of a gold fish."

"Eve"

"And looks like a naked mole rat"

"Eve!" Eve sighed

"Right. Olive, I'm sorry for the mean, awful, accurate things I said" Eve said and the kids had to hold in their laughter again. Enoch even had to hold back a smile.

Olive glared

Olive glared

"That's not an apology"

"Actually that's an improvement" Emma said and Eve shrugged

"I did say I was sorry instead of threatening to kill you.  See I'm a nice person" Emma smiled while Olive huffed like a baby picking at her food.

Eve turned back to Fiona

"Anyway, I really wish I you could meet them, I think you'd like them"

After breakfast Eve walked into Enochs room and saw him reading a book on his bed. She sighed and sat down on the bed next to him. He looked up from his book and raised an eyebrow

"Who said you could sit in here" Eve shrugged

"No one. But I dont care right now." He rolled his eyes looking back at his book.

She smiled as she watched him

"What?"

"I didnt say anything"

"Why are you looking at me like that"

"Is it making you uncomfortable" she asked smugly and he glared

"No" he denied

"Then why do you care?"

"Fine its making me uncomfortable" he grumbled and she tilted her head

"Why?"

"Ug. Get out" she sighed

"Okay I wont look at you" she sighed looking away. He rolled his eyes looking back at his book. He looked back up to see her looking around his room and he sighed

"Why are you in here?"

"No reason. I felt like it. So I did it" she said still not looking at him. He paused. He wondered what I'd be like to think like that. Eve didnt second guess herself. She didnt think about what others thought and just acted.

He knew it's crazy. And got her into trouble more than not. But there was something appealing about it. Liberating about they way she lived. No wonder she refused to let them change her.

"Enoch. Do you ever feel different?"

"What are you talking about?

"Well, you seem different, than the others. Do you feel different" he glared at her

"I like it" his glare softened

"Like what"

"That your different." His brows scrunched together

"Oh. Um I guess"

"Your interesting, most of this new life is boring compared to my old life. But not you"

"Me?"

"Yes. You make me feel different. Ways I didnt know existed. So thanks." Enoch stared at her with a seemingly blank face. A mask he put on when he heard the difficult words she was speaking without even knowing the depth of. But it didnt faze her. Eve wasnt expecting a reaction like another girl would be. She just told him because she didnt filter things. Even her feelings.
