9:47 am

I'm early.

When she finally took a look at the house, the girl stood with her mouth slightly agape as she gazed at the rather large house that stood before her, blocked off by a tall, sturdy metal fence and a gate that required a four-digit password for entrance.

This house is huge! She thought. It's almost four times as large as my own house... But my house is really small..

Looking around the gate, she spotted a small buzzer located beside the number lock. The female felt a sudden wave of anxiety run through her veins. What if I'm in the wrong place? This is going to go terribly wrong..

Her finger hovered above the small button a minute too long before she took in a deep breath and forced herself to hit the button.

At first, there was no response. Then, she nearly flinched when a familiar voice answered a few seconds later.

"Hello? Who is this?"

Snapping out of her startled state, she quickly replied. "Kai? It's me, Ace."

A moment of silence passed and the girl felt her nervousness beginning to set in.

"Ace? Hold on a minute, I'll go unlock the gate." The buzzer switched off.

She observed as a moment later, the front door swung open to reveal the familiar brown-haired male, his glasses reflecting the sunlight that hit its frame.

As he approached her, his face held an expression of awe as if he couldn't believe that the female was actually standing there on the house's premises.

Unlocking the gate, he welcomed her in and onto the grassy front yard. "What are you doing here, Ace?" He questioned curiously.

The female furrowed her eyebrows. "Allian and Raiden didn't tell you? They told me to come for tutoring.. Even though I didn't want to.." She muttered the last part.

The male shut the gate, frowning. "No, they didn't tell me anything. I doubt they told Ryoma and Evan as well."

Walking towards the house, the girl murmured, "So you guys all do live together."

The golden eyed boy opened the door to the house, gesturing for her to walk in before he did. The female flashed a smile at him before graciously stepping inside the house, looking around her surroundings.

She found herself in a large living room with a connected kitchen, three large sofas were located off by one side of the room, where a flat screen TV was fixed to the white wall above a few shelves containing random decorations and books. A decorative rug was seen underneath the sofas, as well as a coffee table that was located in the center of the three furniture pieces.

The kitchen itself was rather large, even though connected to the living room. A mahogany dinner table accompanied by its respective chairs was found off by one side of the living room.

The brown carpeted floor suggested that she take her shoes off and place them besides a shoe rack located beside the front door.

The whole living room had a homey feel to it- warm and comforting.

Remembering her aunt's wishes, she pulled out her phone and sent her a quick message reassuring the older woman that she'd met with her friends.

She respectfully slipped off her shoes.

"Kai, who was at the-" Ryoma stopped midway from walking down the stairs. He stared at her wide-eyed in surprise. "Ace?"

The female spotted an equally confused smaller boy behind the gruff male, watching her in wonder.
