Shayla's POV

"Come on Shayla we're going to be late!" Yelled my little sister Madison from downstairs. Well not really little, she's only two years younger than me. "Coming!" I yelled back. I was standing in my bedroom well now my old bedroom. I was going to miss it a lot, I had so many memories here. I grew up here, so did Maddie but she didn't seem to upset about moving to Derry. Who the fuck would want to move to that little ass town. I grabbed my backpack off the now very plain queen sized bed. I looked around one last time at the white walls. "Shayla...Shayla" I heard someone saying my name I looked over and saw Madison standing there, arms crossed looking a bit mad. "What?" "I've been saying your name over and over again. What the hell are you doing?" I started walking passed her and said, "Nothing, now let's go braids." That was her nickname ever since she was little. Her hair was always in two dutch braids or two french braids. "Fine let's go shay cray." She said using my nickname. Then we walked downstairs together.

Madison's POV

I followed Shayla downstairs with my backpack on my back. I already had my suitcase and others stuff in the car so I was ready. Ready to move and start new. Mom and Dad had gotten a job promotion in Derry Maine, 643 miles away from Pennsylvania, 643 miles and 10 hours away from the bullies, thank the lord. I got bullied manly because I stood up for other kids who got bullied and because I couldn't pronounce my R's right. Even though Shayla told the stupid idiots to stop they never did. But that was ending and even if that meant leaving my childhood home I was okay with it, if it meant no bullies then I was okay with it. Once we got downstairs and got outside we saw Olivia, Autumn, and Kyia waiting for us. They were Shayla's friends but all of them were like big sisters to me. They even said that I was like the little sister they never had. "We are going to miss you guys like crazy." Autumn said. "We're going to miss you guys too." I said hugging Autumn. "Group hug!" Shayla yelled. We all embraced each other. Kyia said, "I'm going to miss laughing with you guys." Olivia chimed in,
"I am going to miss sleepovers with you guys." Then we all hugged for a while until our mom said, "It's time to go girls." We all let go of each other and all of us were either crying or on the verge of tears. "Bye guys I love you!" I yelled. "I love you guys too!" Shayla yelled. We got into the car and waved goodbye. I was crying now but took a deep breath and let it out, calming myself down. Mom put on Elvis and Shayla started to quietly sing along. I pulled out How To Kill A Mockingbird and read it for the 10th time waiting to start new.
