So many questions rounded his mind, this couldn't be happening. He had to be dreaming, it was all just a nightmare, right? He would wake up any minute now.

"Leaders. Come forward" Ivan tensed knowing he was being called alongside with Cam. He did his best to put a straight face as he walked forward and stared at her directly in the eye. There was so much he wanted to say, but not now; it wasn't the time.

Dom spoke after all the leaders were standing in front "I. Domique Colombus, Head master of robbers, promise to teach you to be as fierce as the fox" he then proceeded to cross his arms over his head and slightly bow before taking a step aside.

Next was Cam. She stood in front of her and gave her a sympathetic smile "I. Cameron Rosen, Head Master of snoopers, promise to teach you to be vigilant as the owl"  Cam did the same action as Dom had before.

Inevitably it all came down to Ivan's turn, the boy took two steps forward, somewhat slow but strong. His arms were crossed behind his back. They had seen each other just 10 minutes ago as they were escaping Ivan's world and now -without having any power to stop it-, she had become part of it.
His expression was indeed blank, and serious. Genevieve's heart couldn't help but feel heavy and throwback to the time where she saw him for the first time.

Around all the darkness and alcohol with his mysterious aura, Ivan inhaled silently hoping that the air going through her lungs was enough to get rid of the pain within his chest.

Unfortunately it wasn't, he saw the marks, the black ink absorbed by her skin, forming the well known archangel wings, deep down he was heart broken, at that moment all that Ivan wanted was to cry and scream at her.

Why? Why did she had to do this?

Fighting the knot in his throat was painful, but he had no other choice "I, Ivan Martinez, Head Master of soldiers promise to teach you how to fight, as the hawk."  He stated, without noticing or having control over it, every muscle in his body tensed.

His eyes began to water, and maybe it was because deep down, Eve felt she was betraying Ivan, or the all the tension that had been going on between the two in the past hours, but her eyes began to burn as well.

As she saw him move his arms over his head in a swift motion and carefully bow before her, doing all he could to avoid eye contact.

Whether he liked it or not he was supposed to teach her all that he knew.

One way or another Ivan was been asked to destroy the love of her life, to break her into a million pieces, what hurt the most was the fact that he couldn't deny training her, even if he could, someone else would take his place. In reality he had comply to his duty as Chief of the Soldiers.

You can't deny The Circle, even when you're asked to turn the girl you love with every best of your heart into a monster.

A monster of his creation.

Dom couldn't help but smile at the sight of Ivan breaking. Eve took a deep breath before turning on her heels, the girl's main focus being the crowd in front of her. She took a firm step forward, whereas the three leaders-Cam, Dom and Ivan-, took a step back.

The three superiors immediately started the oath

"The Archangel represents us, the combination of Combat, Vigilance and Strategy." Cameron stated, placing her feet a few inches apart from each other, arms down, crossed in opposite directions, forming and ex over her pelvic region.

Dom followed "The survival of The Circle relies on the Angel as guidance" Ivan knew it was his turn to speak, but there it was again. That unbearable pain located in his chest, the boy felt as if he was slowly being stabbed in the heart.

All types of emotions ran through his body, all of them to powerful to contain; the frustrating incapability to make this stop and the fact that not only was he gonna lose her; he was supposed to be the cause of that.

Supposed to push her down onto the dark hole he was stuck in. Ivan didn't want that kind of life, that type of misery for her.

But it was all part of his duty; so he stood up straight, an authority semblance drawn upon his features as he decided to finish the oath

"...And we shall reciprocate when putting The Archangel's life above ours". All three leaders stepped forward, ending up in front of the now blonde girl, covering the sight of her to the rest; then, they turned around, that trio placed their right fist up to their hearts, staring at Eve right in the eye.

Even when she only had eyes for him.

She couldn't bare to look at him and feel as if she was staring at a wall, because he was never like that.
They Ivan she knew was completely the opposite, he felt too much, he loved and cared to much. Last thing she ever wanted was to hurt him; if only he could understand, if only she could explain.

At that moment she hadn't felt more lost, and the only thing she wanted was for him to hold her, to grab his arms around her, to embarrassed her body and use his touch as a safety blanket. For him to say everything would be okay, that they would figure it out.

Unfortunately, right now that wasn't an option, maybe it wouldn't be an option ever again. There was no saying everything would be fine cause both lovers were filled with uncertainty of the future.

Ivan couldn't make a promise he didn't knew if he would be able to keep while Eve just prayed this wasn't a horrible mistake.

"Salut our Archangel!" The trio shouted in unison, all three voices almost mixing in perfect sync, the leaders bowed before her bending down their heads in sign of respect.

That's when she really noticed all the people there, the room was full and crowded even, male and female agents, a room, a whole organization bowing down at her.

Pledging their loyalty, putting their lives in stake just to ensure hers. She became intimidated with what this meant, suddenly she understood; she wasn't just gonna be a part of them.

She was gonna rule them.
