"bye tati. thanks for staying over." i say as she walks out my front door, "call me later, let me know if he texts you again." she responds. rolling my eyes but shooting her a smile, i close my front door. turning around, i look at the disaster that lays upon my parents house. they were on vacation, and left a note stating that they'd be back "later." whatever that means. "great now i have to clean this mess by myself." i sigh.

as i step out of the shower my music fades meaning a notification had popped up on my screen. man, i should really just put my phone on do not disturb.
my phone then starts ringing, i look at the caller ID to see it's tati. i let it ring so she knows i'm not intentionally ignoring her. after getting dressed and getting ready for bed, i call her back and she picked up on the first ring. "thank you for finally answering! now, i have some news." she says. i can hear the excitement in her voice from the other side of the phone. "what did you do now?" i question, getting a bit nervous. "you and i are meeting why don't we."
