Georgia was trying to remain immune to Justin's charming grin and striking blue eyes  holding a twinkle of mischief and danger. She looked up at him in confusion for only a moment before busting out in a loud boisterous laugh.

"No."

Justin's eyebrows raised in surprise. "No?"

Georgia nodded. "Yeah, it's a gonna be a no from me."

"But...why?"

Georgia gave him a look of pure annoyance. "Well, I'm not quite sure if you were in that conversation just now, but you basically insulted my entire reason for existence."

Justin rolled his eyes. "Okay, so we have a difference of opinions. Does that mean you can't enjoy a nice night with me? I promise I'll respect whatever your sexual boundaries are."

Georgia rolled her liquid honey eyes. "Thank you for declaring to respect my boundaries. However, I'm simply not interested. Why would you want to take a prude on a date? I'm certainly not your typical type."

Justin raised a strikingly dark eyebrow. "Oh yeah? And what is my type?"

Georgia shrugged before answering honestly. "Sluts, hoes, easy lays, whatever you want to call them. Those are your girls."

Justin narrowed his eyes, his eyes becoming nearly invisible behind the thick, dark eyelashes that surrounded them. "You're kind of a bitch. You know that, right?"

Georgia laughed sweetly. "I do my best."

Justin frowned. "Whatever. I really just thought you were cute and wanted to get to know you past that stupid good girl front you put up. Forget I asked. You're just like everybody else."

With that, he turned abruptly and walked away from Georgia. If he had turned back to look at her, he would've noticed the remorseful look on her face.

Georgia felt a weight of guilt settle heavily on her chest. She didn't like being mean, but she knew she had to keep her guard up. Especially with Justin.

The truth was, her heart had been pining for Justin since she seen him last semester. Unfortunately, the one time he acknowledged her it was to demean her. Hadn't she every right to protect her heart by any means necessary?

Georgia knew she shouldn't go after Justin. She knew she'd regret it in the long run, but instead, she hurried out the glass doors and down the Humanities building steps where she'd seen him walk out of.

She looked among the throng of college students hurrying to their next class. She couldn't find tall, tanned, dark haired boy anywhere. Her heart sank.
She turned abruptly to walk a different direction, but ran into a large body in the process. She looked up apologizing before her words were cut off.

Justin looked down at her glaringly. "Watch where you're going." He lightly brushed past her, but Georgia reached out her hand and lightly grabbed his bicep.

"Wait, Justin. I'm sorry. That was rude of me to assume things of you. I was just hurt by what you said in class today and didn't know how to properly respond. Will you forgive me?"

Justin turned back towards her. "I hurt you? I thought you took it as a compliment?"

Georgia sighed. "Did you like me basically calling you a slut? No, I didn't like how you called me a prude in front of an entire lecture hall. Whether it's true or not, it's hurtful. I didn't know how to react so... I lied."

Justin frowned and took a step closer to Georgia. "I didn't realize.... I'm sorry."

Georgia shrugged and refused to make eye contact with Justin's piercing blue eyes. "It's cool, it's Gucci. We good."

Justin narrowed his eyes and Georgia blushed as his dark eyelashes fluttered at the eye movement. Gosh, why did he have to be so gorgeous?

"Are we really good though? I wouldn't want such a pretty girl mad at me. I mean, especially if that anger won't get worked out in the bed later."

Georgia blushed a dark layer of red and she was thankful her caramel colored skin covered most of it. "Really? Did you really have to say that?"
Justin laughed. "No, that was me simply teasing you. Anyway, I was being real earlier. Let me take you out."

Georgia sighed. "And I was being for real too. That would not be a good idea."

Justin scoffed. "Why not. Give me one good reason."

Georgia snorted. "I could give you ten, but I'll stick with two! First, we obviously have very different viewpoints on life. That would make any relationship messy very fast. Second, I can already see now that if I agree to you, I'll eventually fall in love with you and give you anything you asked me for. Including sex."

"So you admit you have a sexual drive. You're basically saying that if I pursued you enough I could get you to sleep with me."

Georgia frowned. "I am human... so yes, I do have a sexual drive. I've learned to control it and protect it, but tempted enough, like any normal person, there is a chance that could happen."

Justin nodded thoughtfully. "That's understandable. I honestly think that's admirable that you'd admit to that. But listen, I wouldn't make you do anything you didn't want to do. I wouldn't even expect sex."

Georgia chuckled sourly. "The flaw in that is, catch us in one compromising position, we take it a bit too far, and I would want to go further. It's just human nature. Because we don't have the same morals, you'd be all too willing to take it all the way, while I would have to suffer my own consequences the next morning."

Justin shook his head. "It's not like I'd leave the next morning. I assume we'd be together by then and obviously I'd stay after. I'm not that terrible. Plus, why are we talking this far ahead? I just asked to take you on a date."

"I'm not referring to the consequences of you leaving, but of me breaking a covenant with God and myself."

Justin sneered. "There you go again. Talking about 'God'. I don't know. He seems kind of cruel to make such a beautiful girl who refuses to be touched. It's painful really. You deserve to be worshiped, and worship you I would. Too bad, I guess. Have fun worshipping a boring god that doesn't even exist. Let me know when you're ready to really live." With that, he shrugged and gently brushed past a stunned Georgia.

She turned to watch his retreating back, hoping and praying to the God above that she didn't just make the biggest mistake of her life.
