The clock read 6:23. They'd only been sleeping for two hours and twenty three minutes.

John rubbed his eyes. Lafayette poked his arm. John rolled over to see what it was that he wanted.

"I completely forgot to ask, since Burr was in a rush to go to bed... But did you kiss him?" Lafayette pried.

Laurens sighed. "Of course. I've had a crush on him since fifth grade, Laf."

Lafayette squealed. "Yay!"

"Bro you're acting like a girl," John snapped.

"Well whatever. I'm just happy is all," Lafayette whispered.

"Why? Because Hercules owes me five dollars."

John rolled his eyes. "Of course."

"Speaking of which, he's upstairs,  eating a pop tart."

"Uh okay?"

"Imma go tell him you kissed Hamilton!" Lafayette rushed up the stairs.

"Five dollars huh? I'm worth more than that! At least ten..." Alexander whispered as he sat up.

"Hi," Laurens said.

"Hey."

"Burr's still asleep. Should we wake him?"

"I guess so."

Laurens kicked Burr gently. He groaned and rolled over.

"No luck. Burr's grumpy as always," John said.

"Let me try." Alex scooted over to Burr. "Playing Fortnite for hours is good for you."

Burr shot straight up. "No it's not! You need to take breaks every half hour you play so that your brain doesn't rot out!"

"There's the Aaron we know and love." Alex laughed.

"Ugh you guys are annoying," Aaron complained.

"Heh."

"By the way..." Aaron had a slight smirk on his face.

"Yes," Alex said.

"What?" Aaron asked.

"John did in fact kiss me in the closet," Alex said.

"I'm glad. You two are cute," Aaron cheerfully said.

Alex smiled.

"Yeah yeah whatever. I'm going upstairs." John stood up.

"Why?" Aaron tilted his head.

John walked to the staircase. "I'm hungry."

"I'm coming too," Alex said. Burr nodded. He got up from the floor and followed John and Alexander.

"Well well well. If it isn't our love birds Tom Cat and Turtle Tail." Hercules teased. He smirked.

"Yeah. We're hungry," Alex said.

"Well we've got cereal, and pop tarts, toaster waffles, John Laurens, pizza, bagels, yogurt. What sounds good?" Lafayette opened the fridge.

"Laf did you just say... Never mind. I'll have pizza, please," Alex answered.

John fiddled with the buttons on his pajamas. They were blue with small green turtles on them.

"John?" Lafayette asked. He pulled the box of pizza out of the fridge.

"How come I'm on the menu and Alex isn't? That's hardly fair," John complained.

"Uhh..." Alex blushed. John realized what he said. Oh shoot, he thought.

"Hehe did you mean to say that out loud, Turtle Tail?" Lafayette smiled. He set the box on the counter.

"No I didn't." John looked down at the floor.

Burr smiled.

"I'll have a bagel," John answered.

"Can I have yogurt please?" Burr asked. He was the responsible one in the group. Lafayette nodded.

They sat at the table and ate.

Once they were done, Lafayette picked up his phone. "We can do this one of two ways," he said. Burr raised an eyebrow and took a sip of his water . "We either call Theodosia or-"

Burr spit his water everywhere. Some of it landed right in front of Hercules. "WHAT!?"

"Sheesh no need to send a hurricane right at me," Hercules joked.

"Come on, Burr. You like Theodosia, right?" Laf pressed.

Burr nodded. "Yeah bu-"

"No buts. We either call her or go to her house. She lives a few houses down," Lafayette exclaimed.

"She does?!" Aaron said, his voice excited.

Laf nodded. "So. What's your choice?"

Burr's eyes widened a little. "Well I uh- I didn't really-"

"To her house it is!" Hercules cheered.

"No I can't go there! She'll see me!" Burr said, worried.

"Relax, Aaron! This could be your chance! You don't want to wait for it do you? Until she's off and married?" Lafayette asked.

"I guess not..."

"Good! Let's go!" Lafayette and Hercules said, at the same time.

The five quickly got dressed and left the house.
