Chapter Four

I washed my hair blow dried and curled it.I decided to wear some basic distressed Hollister jeans a white lace floral spaghetti strap tee and

a Jean jacket over it.I put on some simple white flats and perfume and headed out the door.I texted Matthew."Come down to the

lobby."He texted back when I asked where I was going.I walked down to the hall to the elevator.It was fancy with elevator music and a

little TV as well.I went down to the lobby.No one was really there.I didn't see Matt at all then a person snuck from the storage room.He

was hiding from fans."Sorry some fans found out which hotel was in so I took the employee elevator."He whispered.He had a black

hoodie on and covered his face up every time someone walked past."Um Atthewmay...where we headed?"I said hiding his

name in piglatin."Outside to the car I have an idea where to go."We exited the hotel nearly running with our

heads down.I entered a sliding door black van.Obviously for not looking so obvious.I felt kind of famous in a

way."So..."I stared at him he was taking his hood down."Sorry about that...Since were here...you know in Santa Monica...It

would be cool...since it stopped raining,to enjoy Santa Monica pier!"He smiled relaxing in the odd side seats of the van."I know

this isn't called for but one time me and Carter went to the mall and couldn't leave because of fans."There was a thing about his smile you

could tell he has lit rooms up with his laugh and sent people to shame with the confidence he has.His smile was most attractive."Don't

worry Im pretty sure there's a Starbucks at the pier just in case."He finished.He grabbed my hand as usual.I kinda hoped I was still going

to the normal date.I was sort of hoping I'd see Nash but I was still going to enjoy myself.On the way to the pier I did happen to see a

fancy Starbucks with outside tables and a huge Starbucks Coffee cup at the sign.Saw water and a large brown dock with nothing but sand

under it.Exiting the car,the air smelled a little damp and light rain cloud were above us."If it rains it'll only be romantic."I told myself.As

we had began walking down the pier.A conversation began to start."So i'd love to know more about you!"I looked down smiling

lightly."There's a lot I I can start off my saying.I live with my Dad and my brother.Yeah I go to Talebifth High yeah I am

currently 16 right now.I turned January 4th I love to draw I feel i'm talented I just haven't made a masterpiece though that's my goal."I

started."You sound pretty fun!What about sports you are tall you know."We laughed."Oh yeah,I am a track star in my family,If

you haven't seen a few seconds of my races in my vines.""What about your Mom she had to be beautiful to make something like

you."Damn.He. Had to hit a sensitive subject some time.I had to go with it."Thanks,Attmay but I've never really seen my mom

so I don't know."His smile faded."Im sorry,She passed?""No she had an addiction to Heroine and she was sent to jail for

neglecting us and 18 home invasion cases just to get money for her fix.My dad took me,my sister and my brother when she was

charged."He grabbed my hand."You have a sister?"He asked."Yeah she would be sixteen like me now."I teared a bit."Would be?She

passed?"I wiped my eye with my other hand."Actually we don't know...she ran away last year."I smiled up at him."Sorry!"I laughed in a

bitter- sweet way."You hit a nerve!""Let's go to the arcade!I'll try not to make you tear up okay?"I laughed feeling a bit better and

continued to walk with him hand and hand."I tried not to think about Kaleen the rest of the day.I enjoyed myself and talked more

about him than me.Gosh he was so sweet.He spent his whole pocket inside out for me.Simple souvenirs Like a Necklace with my name

written on a piece of rice and stuffed animals and My name carved out of colored sand.He was so sweet.I enjoyed every moment with

him.Then it got dark."I promised you we'd head to Starbucks!"He began."No no.It's okay,Im alright."He smirked."I insist."We

arrived to the place."

As I walked in the first thing we did was sit at the counter."Hi,Welcome to Starbucks how may I help you?"The lady behind the

counter said."Can I get a Swiss Herbal Strawberry milkshake with mint please."I asked.Sad that I knew too much about what I

wanted already."Okay!Um I'll get what she's getting preferably Vanilla if that's a choice.""Way to sound like you know about coffee."I

said.He laughed."I really can't get the hang of it at all."Once again he grabbed my hand."I can really get used to this ,Matthew"I said

smiling wide."Does that mean you would love to see me more often Megan Gallegos?!?""Yes I would I really would."Then It all

happened so fast he smiled I smiled and we went in for each other then again then again and then again."Wow your a really good kisser!"I

caught myself say. "Haha, thank you!"He laughed.After drinking our Swiss herbal milkshakes.We headed back to the car where we only

made out some more.Then the fun only continued when we were chased down my his fans at the hotel hand and at the hotel.Security guards

held the fans back as he walked me to my hotel room."Bye, beautiful."He said kissing me once again."Bye.I had a good time

by the way."I said letting go of his hand."Good,I'll make sure the next time will be too."Matthew then walked away.That night I stayed

and replayed the day over and over again.What a day I thought to myself.
