Chapter 12- Connected

Tsuki walked slowly and silently, tail between her legs and head down. She failed her master. They had already known it was going to happen, that's why they made preparations. But still, she had hoped she would be able to atleast stop Luna from being too badly hurt.

She nudged Jin to walk as she bounded down the corridor and they entered Yotaro's room.

He sat, engaging in a conversation with his Capybara and Yuma sitting with a duck face on the child's small bed. To anyone, Yotaro would seem a little crazy, but he had a special side effe-

Then it hit Jin like a bundle of bricks.

" Is this why Luna wanted Yotaro around? " Jin asked Tsuki, looking down at the wolf.

Tsuki looked at Jin and huffed, half nodding at him.

Yotaro looked around, noticing them and held out his hands in a huglike manner. Tsuki ran rapidly over and tackled Yotaro, licking his face.

" Ohayo. " He said to the creature, hugging it.

Tsuki barked at him, wagging her tail slightly.

" Huh? " He asked, sitting up.

Tsuki barked again and his eyes watered as he burst into tears.

Yuma's duck face disappeared as he watched the scene. Did he get hurt?

" Luna Chan got kidnapped! " He wailed, sobbing as he wiped his big, watery eyes

" Nani? " Asked Yuma, shock in his normally unreadable gaze.

Jin nodded.

" Her room is torn apart. She didn't leave because she wanted to. " Said Jin, frowning.

Tsuki barked at Yotaro again.

" What did it say? " He asked

" My name is Tsuki... I'm Luna Sama's trion Chaperone. " Yotaro translated.

Jin's eyes showed clear surprise as he frowned thoughtfully.

" Yeah, that makes sense. " He muttered.

Tsuki talked to Yotaro and he translated for them.

" Luna Sama was Poisoned then, while she was weak she was taken. She and I fought, but she was in no real condition to hold an actual battle, and she told me not to get myself hurt... the Kidnapper only took Luna Sama, she knew I couldn't do anything. "

The wolf lowered her head shamefully as Yotaro hugged it.

" Don't worry, we can get her back and she can marry me! " He said enthusiastically, giving the wolf a thumbs up. It huffed at him, licking his face.

" So why come to us? " Asked Yuma thoughtfully as he held put his hand and allowed Replica to come from his ring.

" Greetings. I am Replica. Yuma's trion Chaperone. " He said, hovering in the air.

Tsuki dipped her head as a greeting and looked at Yotaro.

" She said that she's sorry that she has to meet you in this state, but Luna's kidnapper stopped her ability to switch from soldier to animal. " Yotaro translated, patting Tsuki's head.
