Congratulations!!

Kirstie was wheeled back into her room and Mitch,Scott, and Avi stood up. She had an oxygen mask on. They hurried over "Kirstie?!" Mitch said

Kirstie opened her eyes and gave a weak thumbs up and they sighed in relief. The doctor moved her to the actual bed.

"Did you guys know she had asthma..?" The doctor said

"I did..... but she always told me don't worry because it was worse when she was little." Mitch said

"Well.. she had a severe asthma attack and was too weak to position herself up to be able to breath better. She's going to be just fine but we are going to keep a very close eye on her and you guys should too." The doctor said

"We will thank you so much" Scott said

The doctor smiled nodding and walked out.

Avi fell to his knees crying into her stomach. Kirstie gently moved her hand rubbing his head.

"Please don't cry...." She croaked out.

"I j-just can't loose you Kirst! Your my everything...." He sniffled

"I purposefully d-didn't click the emergency button... I w-wanted a sign if I was going to live or die... and escape the pain... That's when Mitch walked in... he was the sign."

"Kirstie that's not ok. You've could've died...." Kevin said

"I k-know.... it's hard..." she said.

"Promise you'll never pull something like that again?" Scott said

"I promise....." she said

"I've already lost one person... I can't loose my sister too...." Scott said

Avi held her close rubbing her head. Kirstie gasped and moved away. "Please to touch m-me..."

Everyone looked up with concern. Avi moved away "Am I h-hurting you...?!"

"No.... I... n-need to t-talk to Mitch... alone..." she said

"You want to talk me?! I'm not a counselor..." Mitch said

"I j-just want to talk to a f-friend first about it.... I'm nervous.. I... " she stuttered hugging her knees.

"We respect your wishes Kirstie but please let us know... we want to help..."

"I'm your boyfriend.. don't you trust me...?" Avi said a little hurt.

Scott lead Avi out "let them have this... it's ok..."

Kirstie looked down embarrassed "I j-just feel like Mitch would u-understand the best... I-I'm a girl... and I j-just..." she said breathing fast

Mitch hurried over and sat on her bed. "It's ok. I'm here... it's ok bestie."

Scott lead Avi out and Kevin followed them.

Kirstie cried softly taking off her breathing mask. Mitch quickly stopped her "No no keep it on...."

"M-Mitch... I'm s-so embarrassed.... I feel pathetic being such a b-baby about this..." she said.

"Your not pathetic.. Kirstie I'm your bestie. I'm not going to judge you... I love you no matter how you come..."

Kirstie nodded sniffling, she grabbed Mitch's arm trying to sit up and Mitch quickly helped her.

When she sat up... Mitch had never seen Kirstie look so ashamed and upset. Mitch held her hand when he realized what was wrong.

On her white hospital pillow, there was black covering it in the middle where her head had just been laying.

Mitch hugged her tightly when he realized what it was.
