Third person POV

Vera walks into the small store but no one seems to be there, not even a receptionist "hello?" she calls out into the seemingly empty store "in here" she hears a husky voice call from a farther in room at the end of the left hallway "oh hello, i didn't see anyone at the front door i just got a new pup and we rescued him from the dump-" as soon as the doctor  turns around Vera became lost of words 

he looks up from the puppy thats lying down, not only did vera sudden stammer stop her but so did the doctor's, he stares at her while his heart beats a little faster he could see her blush earning a light chuckle from him"that's amazing . you rescued him, he looks like a strong fella huh" the doctor pets him slightly touching vera's lower chest "sorry how rude i am Klaus Schwartz but please just call me Klaus" he smirks leaning on the table trying to act calm and collected but is actually a nervous wreck "Alright Doctor Klaus I'm Vera Phillips" she leans in for a handshake "still with the formalities alright then it will change due in time" he gives his warm smile shaking her hand, they start gazing at each other which they felt was only 10 seconds but was a minute, it broke when they heard a tiny woof, Klaus turns to go tend to the wounded pup

"oh my god... poor thing what happened"vera sits on the chair thats facing Klaus "same story, found her near a construction sight's trashcan" as he stitches her "she's probably been walking around the streets since she was born. i assume she's a couple months maybe 2? but i think i will take care of her" he talks trying to forget how much her stares made his heart race "aha but what about you know..." vera tiptoed around the subject trying not to sound offensive

"the war?" he looks up  immediately regretting it but he still keeps his composure when he looks up  this intimidated her "i was at first a training doctor for humans so i will be sent to take care of the wounded in wales, the bombing and all and ill stay with my nephew firefighter"he looks back down seeing her stare "sorry didn't mean to give you my whole life plan"he laughs nervously "well it's interesting seeing how i'm moving to wales with my two friends, Cat and Lilly"she gives a warm smile "an actual cat or.." he fumbles "sorry bad joke" a few seconds go by then a laugh followed by a snort and clapping and her extensive and unwillingly feminine laugh feel the room she calms down and wipes her tears "you.. yours so lame"she weeps, he gives chuckle admiring what she would call a flaw, little did he know vera's heart did beat faster when she saw his mature handsome face but she still loves tommy "so what do you work as"he looks up "i was a singer" he finishes with his pup while he listens to vera and takes mellow "i just need some basic vaccinates cleaning etc" Klaus nods along understand what he will do since he just finished doing the same

"was?" he says not looking away scared to make a fool of himself once more "ya i used to sing in the underground in london but now i came here to.... visit friends"she didn't know why she lied but for some reason she kind of did...

"i see, so what's your plan in wales once you and cat and Lilly go?" he rubs a tissue that contains some liquid on mellow, he then prepares the needle "not sure to be frank, i already have some money from my parents passing and a house there so we will survive" he hesitated to ask not wanting to know if she had a lover "perhaps something coming in from the government such as a brother or something in the war?"Klaus trying so hard not to make her say she is not available "well Cat has a special someone in the air force but i don't think thats enough to get sent his money and Lilly is engaged to my friend sam in the navy"even she is trying not to say she has a lover she realises how wrong this is, on the other hand Klaus is thankful she didn't mention anything about her but that was speaking too soon

"and i have a fiancée, troops" she gives a smile he returns one back not the same "of course,  you are stunning"his eyes widen when he realise he just said that out-loud "why thank you Mr.Schwartz" a silence falls on them she tries to start a conversation  "so are you a nazi huh"she says jokingly but alarmed him "w-what"

"you have quiet a german name Klaus Schwartz"she says with a teasing smile "hahha no relations" he continues his work "sure look like a poster child for them"she smirks "hey hey hey i'm 34 not a child" he gives his signature smile

"ooookkkkkk"vera extends her sentences and sits back into her chair "alrighttt, done all you need to do is wash his fur with this"Klaus hands her a small bottle "pop by any time something happens i live right above the store"he says "ok"vera says while having her eyes set on him, he changed in the matter of second but she shrugged it off "here's the form you were supposed to fill out before the vaccinations and put telephone number and address but its fine you can so so now and the tab is at the bottom"he gives a weak smile at her glass like face thats still making his heart beat through his ears, she fills everything out and taking out the cash but still feels Mr.Schwartz's stares  she gives a smile turning to leave

"so wait um who's your fiancée?"he rubs the back of his head
