Wednesday morning

I'm going into school today.

I don't really mind it, I just know I'll have to catch up with some things.

I park up and head in.

Reaching my locker I see Ellie.

"Hey, where have you been?" She says hugging me.

"Just didn't feel great yesterday" I say pulling away getting my books out my locker.

"Well glad you're back." She smiles.

"Oh and Ethan Dolan asked for your number yesterday, something about art homework?" She asks confused.

"Uh..Yeah I helped him" I just reply and close my locker.

Art homework?

He doesn't want to tell people he's hanging out with the depressed girl.

I get it.

I avoid him all day.

There was a few occasions when he'd try and talk to me whilst I went to my classes but I just sped up.

Clearly he doesn't want people knowing we're handing out, wouldn't want to be caught in the Hall too.

I'll do him a favour.

Ethan's POV

Charlotte acted strange all day.

We were fine last night.

We eat our pizza and spoke for ages.

Spoke about my family too.

And then it seemed like she was avoiding me.

I get in my car and drive myself and Grayson home.

"Hey bro, I'm going out with the guys. You coming?"  Grayson asks within 10 minutes of being in the door.

"Nah I'm good" I shout from my room.

I can't help but wonder what I've done wrong.

I'll just message her to see if everything is okay.

Where has she got this from.

It angered me.

But mainly upset me that she thought this.

Ellie must have told her I wanted her number for 'art'.

But she doesn't realise I was doing that because I was trying to respect the fact I understood Ellie didn't know that we were hanging out.

Me: I realised you hadn't told her, so thought it wasn't my place to tell her
Me: I just needed to know you were okay, whatever it took

Charlotte's POV

I feel horrible.

It all makes sense.

I was so caught up in being with Ethan, I never told Ellie.

I believe him.
