"Eerie..."

“Also, don't be a cry baby. Alam kong bakla ka deep inside pero sana naman ‘wag mo masyadong ipag landakan. Pano nalang kapag nabuking ka ng iba, diba? You have to be careful.” Dugtong niya na nagpa maang sa‘kin.

WHAT THE F-CK!!?

She laughed because of my priceless reaction. Damn, I didn't see that coming. Does she really think I'm a f-cking gay??!

She suddenly gave me a tight hug so I was taken aback. Is this her way of calming me down after calling me gay? Does she think I will fall for this–

"Thank you so much again, Ash."

Great! Just great! How the hell could I resist her?

"Anything for you." I sighed before hugging her back.

F-ck! My heart.

"Get inside now while I can still stop myself from taking you home with me." I chuckled.

She pulled herself from the hug and looked at me. Then she smirked.

"You're talking as if you're madly in love with me, Ash."

"I am." Ani ko pero tinawanan niya lang ako.

Akala niya ata ay nagbibiro ako.

“Don't fall for me, Ash. I break hearts.” Natatawa niyang sabi.

“Tsk. Get inside now.”

She nodded.

I waved goodbye at her bago tumalikod. Tinawag niya ‘ko ulit kaya nilingon ko siya. But to my surprise, she gave me a kiss on cheek bago siya patakbong pumasok sa loob kaya napatulala ako.

“That’s a thank you kiss so don't misunderstand, okay?” Pahabol niyang sabi nang papasok na siya.

Damn, Eerie. You're driving me crazy!

DRAKE’S POV

School days sucks! It's full of boring classes that been taught by boring professors. I prefer spending my time with my gadgets than attending class tsk.

“So According to Aristotle, human being is a rational being because if the body will die then the soul cease to exist. While for Plato, human being is essentially his soul because when human being die his soul will return to its original world which is the world of ideas or perfection.”

Nakakaantok talaga magturo ang philosophy instructor namin kaya madalas kong tinutulugan klase niya.

I was planning to take a nap when the bell rang kaya nawala antok ko. This is it! Break time na, may 2 hours vacant kami after this. Heaven!

"Guys! Dad wants to see us." Diane said kaya nagkatinginan kami.

"Uhm... actually si Princess at King lang talaga but why don't we come with them, right? Wala narin naman tayong class after this."

Nilapitan niya si Princess at ipinulupot ang kamay niya sa braso nito.

"Let's go, pinsan!" Then she dragged her kaya wala kaming nagawa kundi ang sumunod sa kanila.

"Sweetie, I only need King and Princess." Sabi ni tito kay Diane pero ngumuso lang ito.

"Are we not allowed to be here, dad? May secret po ba kayong ‘di namin dapat malaman?"

"This is not a secret but it's an important discussion." Seryosong sabi ni tito kaya natahimik kami.

"Then shall we go outside, dad?"

I saw how Kyle moved his head side to side, a sign that Diane is so obvious. Kinokonsensya niya ang dad niya.

Tito took a deep breath bago nagsalita ulit. “Magsi-upo muna kayo.”

Lumawak ang ngiti ni Diane at naunang umupo sa sofa, nakigaya naman kami. Except for King and Princess na inocuppy ang magkaharap na upuan sa tapat ng table ni tito.

"I will be direct to the point, I summoned the two of you here to talk about the competition." Panimula ni tito.

Nagkatinginan kami ni Kyle at sabay na nagkibit balikat. So, he doesn't also know about this huh?

“You both got the same average but only one of you could have the title of first rank.” 

My jaw dropped—no, our jaw dropped.

Like WTF? For real? A transferee student got the same average with King the Great? How is that possible!? Kami nga ni Kyle hanggang rank 2 lang ang naabot for our almost 5 years of studying here, tapos siya? Damn this is unbelievable!

“Really, dad? Damn! I'm so jealous!” Diane.

"Amazing." Kyle commented.

"Woah! I agree with Kyle, it’s really amazing!" Bulalas ni Samuel habang palipat lipat ang tingin kay King at Princess.

"Wow! King and Princess competition? Exciting!" Ngingiti ngiting sambit ni Blake kaya pinandilatan siya ng mata ni Victoria.

“This is the first time that it happened and we have no choice but to obey the HU’ rules. You’d have to compete for that place.” Tito.

Silence occupied the whole room for a moment. King and Princess seems like having their conversation through their eyes, or maybe they are having a staring competition already.

"Do we really need to compete?" King asked while still staring at Princess.

"Yes, that's the rule. The first rule, the most strict rule that should be followed." Tito replied.

Princess sighed then shrugged.

"What if we don't want to?" King asked again, COLDY. Capslock para 'di niyo malimutang ipinaglihi siya sa yelo.

"You have no choice." 

Silence occupied the whole room for the 2nd time.

"When is the competition?" Princess asked. Tito's face brightens.

"Next week."

She just shrugged as a response then stood up.

"I'm hungry. Let's go, guys." She walked towards the door. "Bye, uncle."

King stood up too and followed her. “Bye, tito.” Ani‘ya rin.

"Uhm.. Dad, we have to go too hehe bye bye."

Kumaripas ng takbo si Diane papunta sa pinto at agad naman kaming sumunod sa kanya. We also bid our good bye to tito.

Paglabas namin ay medyo nakalayo na si Princess at King sa amin. Magkatabi silang naglalakad at pabiro pang nag tatabigan.

As time passes by, they get closer and closer to each other. And for some reason, I feel jealous everytime.

⋯ CAFETERIA ⋯

"Princess, how about the competition? You two really have to do it?" Tanong ni Victoria.

Huminto si Princess sa pag kain at nginuya ang pagkain na nasa bibig niya.

“Forget about it, I won't do it.”

"But you don't have choice." I said. Si tito narin mismo ang nagsabi. Isa pa, it would be exciting.

“I break rules so it’s no biggie. I got it.”  She smirked and winked at me kaya natigilan ako. She then chuckled and continued eating.

The hell.. what was that wink for?
