Scott gasps and heaves in theatrical agony as he finally managed to pry the last of his five humongous suitcases through the narrow opening of his dorm room.

He hurriedly checked his recently painted pastel pink nails to see if any had been broken during the manual labor he had to endure.

Phew, Thank you Jesus for protecting my nails. Amen.

The 6'3 omega continued to offer his appreciative words of praise to whatever heavenly deity that cared enough to listen.

His nails are very sacred and took almost an hour to get absolutely perfect. If they had been ruined the omega was sure he would throw a tantrum.

Scott then turns his glaring eyes at his lousy best friends. His facial expression brimming with betrayal as they practically hollered at his inconvenience. "I hate you both." He sneers tiredly, lips melting into a fond smile at the cheshire grins on their faces.

"Nuh uh Scotland," Mark chides in amusement. "You don't get to be mad. Exercise is necessary, you need to work on those noodles you call biceps." Scott simply pouts at the words he had told Mark when he had asked for help with his luggages earlier.

Kirstin nods her head in agreement, blonde hair swaying as a small smirk appeared on her lips. "Yup, I'm sure your bicep muscles will be bulging and ripping through that oversized pink sweater any minute now." She glances at her watch less wrist to add emphasis to the comedic moment, milking it for all it's worth.

Scott sends an exaggerated smile in their direction, eyes closed with cute crinkles on show. "Y'all can stop now, I get it. Karma's a bitch and so was I."

They both simmer down, entering his dorm and closing the door so that they could help him unpack and settle in. Just like they had done an hour prior in Mark and Kirstin's shared dorm room.

Yes. Mark and Kirstin shared a dorm room, even though they're of opposing genders. It's a normal occurrence at any University, since dorms are grouped based on rank rather than gender.

Alphas, Betas and Omegas all had their own dorm buildings for obvious reasons. There are compulsory courses that all students, regardless of rank had to to do; whilst other courses focused on their individual majors or their rank.

Meaning there is interaction between all students of Britania University but not too much. Just a healthy amount to lessen the likelihood of incidents. Definitely more than secondary institutions allowed.

Mark flops face down on Scott's bed, snuggling into the large stash of around six pillows. "You're so lucky your parents paid extra for you to have a single room Scottie. When I asked my dad, he said he wouldn't be enabling my introvert tendencies."

Scott's eyes twitch slightly, Mark's words not fully registering in his mind. "Marky you know my house rules, they still stand even though this isn't even a house but whatever. You know my bedroom rules." Groaning loudly Mark removes his burgundy sweater and black skinny jeans. Settling back in the bed in a thin tank top and baby blue boxers. "Thank you. Anyways it took a lot of begging and bribing to get this room. Plus they know how much I need my space, I'd go crazy with a roommate."

Room Rule #5: Do not go on the bed with 'outside clothes'.

With Scott's mild obsessive compulsive disorder |OCD| he had unconsciously at first created rules that his family and best friends had to follow as soon as they stepped into his safe haven. His bedroom.

That didn't go so well in the beginning since he hadn't actually told them these rules.

So when he cringed or scrunched his face in mild irritation whenever they walked around his previous bedroom barefoot or sat on his bed in the clothes they wore outside, that were exposed to germs and other environmental conditions, they were puzzled.

That's how his room rules were created, so he could retain his sanity.

"I wonder how you'll survive when you finally find your soulmate. I mean you'd basically need to have them learn and memorize your rules. What if your mate is some controlling Alpha?"

Scott and Kirst make themselves comfortable on the requested pink, carpeted floors, situating the first gigantic suitcase in front of them. They both start and complete their ritual of shaking their arms and rotating their neck and shoulders to release all tension from their bodies; preparing to tackle the always draining task of unpacking.

"An Alpha would be ideal but a controlling Alpha? No ma'am. The last thing I need is a traditional Alpha that refuses to get with the times. It's not the fifties anymore babes, Alphas like that are pretty rare." Both omegas mumble an 'Amen to that.' agreeing with their fellow omega. "Plus even if that's the case, I'd like to think that them being my soulmate would mean that they'd want to make me as happy as they can. In turn, overriding their selfish need for complete control."

Kirstin folds another oversized, knitted sweater quickly and efficiently, as if its second nature, as her gaze pins the half naked brunette. "When's Mason arriving again?"

Mark hugs the fluffy, white pillow in his arms tighter at the mention of his mate, releasing a sad whimper. Scott's blue eyes snap to his best friend, scanning him to make sure he's alright. Mark smiles at his friends concerned expressions and then starts chuckling at himself. "It's so stupid, I literally saw him yesterday yet here I am missing him like we haven't talked in weeks. He'll be here next week with the rest of the Alphas."

They both nod in understanding and resume their tasks when they realize that he's perfectly fine, just missing his other half.

Scott analyzes the information he's been given as his memory becomes less hazy. Oh yea, omegas get to settle into their dorms and have their orientations a week before any other rank.

"It's alright Marky moo, why don't you head over to our dorm and get the shirt he gave you and then you can give him a call." He nods excitedly at Kirst's advice and proceeds to leap for the door in his half naked state.

"Wait!" The blondes shout simultaneously, startling Mark who looks at them in confusion.

"As attractive as you are, and as sure as I am that maybe some of the other omegas on the corridor wouldn't mind such a view. I must advise you that I highly doubt Mason would be amused at you waltzing around in your undergarments. I'm just saying." Marks tan skin flushes dramatically as he remembers his current state.

He rapidly throws on his clothes, motivated by the notion of hearing his Alphas voice. "Oh and please pack our essentials when you're done lover boy. We're having a sleepover here."

Mark mock salutes at Kirst's order and then exits the room, his mind filled with thoughts of his blond Alpha.

Both blondes stare at the place he once stood curiously. They then turn their eyes on each other, both wondering the same thing.

Will we behave like that when we find our soulmates?
