Runnin again // part 15

'Daniel! you heard all that?' I shout. he nodds and smiles: 'Yeah, it was- wait?! Amber!' I left the room running and went downstairs. Everyone is sitting there, including- I gasp. Aspen. 'Hey Amber! Look who arrived a few minutes ago?', Jack says with a smile. I say 'hi' very friendly but she looks at me like I am garbage. I grab my phone and go outside. Not, now. Please. I feel an anxiety attack welling up. I haven't had one in months and right now, I can't use one. I force myself to think. Where do you wanna go, Amber? Where? My heart knows but my mind doesn't. My legs start to run and suddenly, I am at the beach. 

Ofcourse, my favourite place. I am heavily breathing and my eyes start to water. After a few minutes I finally calm down and realize it is sunset. I sigh: 'Why is it always me?' I am just a fool. I start screaming at myself again: 'Really nothing happend! Nothing! Why are you even like this?!' 

I sit down on the cold sand and wipe my tears away. 'Hey, everything alright?', I look up: 'Corbyn, you scared the life out of me!' He shakes his head: 'I just couldn't let you leave... I saw the beginning of an anxiety attack...', he strokes my head, 'We are all worried. Daniel explained what happend upstairs and I left straight away.'

'I am glad you came, but I am fine now. The sunset really helped actually. He smiles: 'Good to hear, are you coming with me? Alsace was freaking out.' I take his hand: 'I can believe that, she hasn't seen me having an anxiety attack before...' 

'Amber, I am so sorry. But I couldn't resist. You sounded beautiful!', Daniel says as soon as we walk in. I accpet his apology with a sad smile. Corbyn tells Daniel what happend at the beach. I walk up to Jack, he seems a bit unhappy: 'Jack? Are you alright?', I ask carefully. 'He is okay, Amber', Aspen says. I need to calm myself down: 'I think he is old enough to know how to answer a question', I say with a sarcastic smile. Jack smiles a bit. I ask him the same question and he nodds. Alsace gives me 'the look' when he walks to the kitchen, so I follow him. 

*kitchen* 

'Jack, something is wrong, isn't it?', I ask while I get some drinks out. 'Aspen is way too protective, if you know what I mean.' I nodd and tell him he has to say he doesn't like it. He smiles: 'I will.' before he leaves he gives me a kiss on the forehead. I go back to the others as well and see Zach. He is playing the guitar. He looks up and his eyes meet mine: 'You want to join? Dani here said you sound awesome and I believe him.' I feel my cheeks going red. I don't have it under control: 'Yeah, sure.' I grab a guitar and start playing 'the weight' by Shawn Mendes. Zach smiles and joins in a few seconds later. And, as strange as it might be, we start to sing at the same moment.

We end the song and everybody claps. 'That, was, AMAZING!', Corbyn says. Jonah lifts me up and spins me around: 'Why didn't you tell us you could do that?' Alsace pokes me: 'See? You are great!' Aspen isn't happy, she looks even more pissed.
