After about an hour and a half of ranting, talking, and gossiping, the two boys decided it was time to go home. It was 3:30 and Eddie's mom would be there soon. The two hoped on their bikes and pedaled to the corner where they would depart.

"Bye Rich, see ya" Eddie says ready to bike home

"Bye Ed's" Richie replied "Wait" he said stopping Eddie before he got too far

"Um, thanks. Thanks for listening to me and...yeah. Thanks" Richie smiled awkwardly. God fucking damn it Richard could you have been any more awkward about that he thought to himself

Eddie smiles, "yeah no prob. Anytime"

When Eddie gets to his house he sees his moms car is already there. Shit.
He grabs his bird book and the grape soda he still hadn't finished and walked inside.

"Hi mo-"

"EDDIE BEAR! Where have you been? Still at that sleepover? Oh you had me so worried!" Sonia cuts him off, pulling him into a tight hug which makes it hard for Eddie to breathe

"Sorry mommy, I saw your note I just went to the park with Richie" he respond once she lets go

"You should have left a note! Or shouldn't have gone at all! Your allergies, did you bring your inhaler? Are you fine? Are-"

"Yes mom! I am fine!" Eddie snaps. He's really kind of sick of her being so over protective. Does she really think he can't manage going to the park?

His mom narrows her eyes and her mouth is a straight line. "Don't you talk back to me like that" she hisses

"Mommy I am sorry"

"I told you that Tozier boy is a bad influence"

She always says this. He feels more defensive though now. Richie is not a bad influence. Sure, he is trashmouth Tozier but Eddie also is a trashmouth not around his mom and it's not all because of Richie. Deep down, Richie is warm hearted boy that has been abused for no reason. He hates his mom for saying that, especially since he was just at the park comforting the poor guy. His mom is turning away back to her spot on her recliner before Eddie stops her

"No mom. Actually, he's not. You don't even know him and who he really is"

Sonia slowly turns around to her son and looks him straight in the eye
"Yes, Eddie he is. His parents are both drunk pieces of shit and he will most likely follow their path. So I don't want you around that boy anymore. You understand?" She snaps in his face

He wants to say no. He wants to slap her, and say no. He thinks about the trip though, and realizes getting on her bad side might not be the best idea if he's trying to convince her to let him go

"Yes mommy" he says quietly and nods. He hates this. He really hates this whole situation going on right now. She doesn't want him to see Richie. Well that's too bad for her.

He walks quietly up to his room without any other comment. Not asking about the cabin. Not now. What he really wanted to do was tell her off and through a fit.

Richie pulled up to his house hoping and praying that his dad was either passed out or had left. He brought his bike to the side yard and leaned it against his house. He opened the door slowly and quietly. He peered into the living room with hope. He was happy to see his father wasn't there, the TV still on though. He hoped he wouldn't come back for a while.

Richie ran up the stairs to his room and closed the door. He was bored. Without Eddie being there to talk, he was bored. He wanted to call him and talk more but realized that Eddie actually has a life.

Richie: hey hey heyyyy

Stan: what do you want

Richie: I was just saying hi geez

Bill: well hi Richie

Richie:  I am a bored bitch

Richie: help

Stan: your always bored

Richie: well my fucking bad stanelton

Stan: 🖕🏼

Richie: love u too 😘

Eddie: hi

You are now privately chatting with "Eddie"

Richie: hi Ed's

Eddie: hi

Eddie: is your dad home?

Eddie: are u good?

Richie: yeah thankfully that ass left probably to the bar getting wasted or something

Eddie: ok that's good

Richie: why tho

Eddie: so your safe dumbass

Eddie: I hate it when he hurts you

Richie: well...thanks I guess🙂

Eddie: like I said earlier, no prob I gotta look out for my best friend

This makes Richie happy. Happy to know that Eddie will always be there for him. So are the rest of the losers, they just don't know much about his family life and his parents. He trusts Eddie the most. And that's why now he's gotta find the 2nd most trustworthy loser, so he can tell them about his new feelings towards Eddie

(A/N) This was kinda just a chapter filler
but the actual road trip is gonna happen soon! Also Ik 60 reads might not seem like that much, but honestly to me it means a lot! So thanks!💕
