5- Another Encounter

Start from the beginning

A few minutes later I follow his actions and I go downstairs.

Once I reach the bottom of the stairs, Lilli comes inside with two Frappuccinos.

She hands me one and she begins to drink the other.

"Thanks." I say smiling.

"Anytime. Can I wear your white vans?" She asks.

I laugh.

"Of course you can, you don't need to ask." I say as she squeals and runs upstairs.

"Morning." I say as I head into the living room where Kyle and Noah are.

"Hey." They reply as I sit down on the couch beside Kyle.

"Kay! Can you come up here?" I hear Lilli yell from upstairs.

I jump off of the couch and I head upstairs to my room.

"What's up?" I ask her. She's holding a piece of paper.

"What's that?" I ask her, gesturing towards the paper.

"I came up here and it was sitting on your window." She says as she hands it to me.

It reads:
Hey Darling, at school today, come see me at the doors at lunch.
You better be there.
-H

"What the hell." I say, but I say it more like a question.

"I read it, who's H?" She asks, sounding curious.

"I'm not to sure...." I begin to say, but then it hits me.

Darling, H.

"It was Hunter.." I say. Lilli's eyes widen.

"What?" She yells.

I shush her. This girl is damn loud.

"Sorry." She whispers, then continues.

"Are you gonna meet him?"

"Yeah, I mean. I think I have too." I say slowly.

This is just great...

~~~
"Just be careful okay?" Lilli says to me as we head to our lockers.
"Now he knows where we live!" She continues.
"I'm gonna head over there. I'll come meet you in the cafeteria soon." I say to her with a reassuring smile.
She nods and walks into the cafeteria.
I head over to the school doors, and sure enough, I see Hunter.
I walk up to him and he looks up at me from his phone.
"You came." He says in his husky voice.
"Yeah. The note said that I-," I try to say, but he cuts me off.
"I know what the note says, I just thought you would ignore it." He says harshly.
"Um, no." I say, more as a question.
This guy is honestly freaking me out, the group in the woods, the tattoos, the clothes, the personality. It's all screaming BAD NEWS at me. But yet, here I am.
"If you didn't really have anything to talk about, then I'm gonna go." I say as I start turning on my heel and walking away. But he grips my elbow, tight.
"Don't fucking walk away from me. Ever." He says, very harsh and stern.
"Hunter, you're hurting me." I say as I try to pull my arm away, but his grip keeps getting tighter.
He then looks behind me and his eyes fill with more anger.
"Dylan, walk away, man." Hunter says, clearly aggravated.
"Let her go, she's not involved." Dylan says. At least I'm pretty sure it was Dylan.
Then a blonde guy, now known as Dylan, walks up beside us and he puts his hand on Hunters shoulder.
"Let go, your hurting her." Dylan says more stern this time.
His grip starts to loosen, loose enough that I can take my arm back.
"Don't do that again man." Dylan says to Hunter as he puts his hand on my shoulder and walks us away.
"I am very sorry about that, I don't know what's gotten into him." He says.
"It's okay." I say as I turn to look at him.
"Wait, your the girl from the forest." Dylan says.
"Yeah, and your the guy that told Hunter to let go of me in the forest." I say back.
"Heh, yeah." He chuckles.
We made it to the cafeteria and I walk in. Dylan doesn't follow, instead he turns around and heads back to Hunter, I'm guessing.
"Hey, I was just gonna come check on you." Says Lilli as she walks up to me.
"Oh hey." I say as we start heading back to our table.
"How'd it go?" She asks, concerned.
"It was just... another encounter." I say slowly.
She nods as we take a seat with Noah and Kyle so we can eat our lunch.
