y/n always thought there was more to Beacon Hills which met the eye, she just never realised how close it was to her house. She lived in the middle of nowhere and was surrounded by woods. The house was left to her parents by an old couple who her mother used to work for. They had past away about ten years ago now and y/n had been in Beacon Hills for nine years. From when she was younger things used to happen in the woods at night, flashes of light, glowing eyes. Her parents had continued to tell her it was her imagination, but y/n knew it was real.

Every day, y/n would leave the house at least an hour before school started, her parents had no choice it was the closest school in their area. y/n was happy when she had gotten her licence, she didn't have to rely on her parents any longer. The problem was, she didn't really want a car, she wanted a motorbike. Her parents said no, and what her parents said she had to obey. y/n understood why, the road she had to go down every day, twice a day, was known for animal attacks. She was more exposed on a motorbike, one event that swayed her mind happened when she first got her licence.

"Stop ringing me!" she yelled to her phone in the car. It was half-past nine at night and she was incredibly late. Her mom and dad continued to ring her phone, she would have pulled over to answer but they had told her not to stop on the road when it was dark. That was when the attacks had happened. She didn't see the lights ahead and slammed on the breaks. She got out the car, taking her phone with her. There had been an accident.

"I'm sorry, Miss, but the road has been closed off," Sheriff said, y/n knew or had seen his son around the school.

"I have to get home, this is the only way," y/n said, "I live in the big house," she added.

Sheriff frowned, "I had forgotten about that house."

"Yeah, people do. The school didn't even know it was there," y/n laughed awkwardly.

"I can drive you home, I can get someone to drop your car around tomorrow," Sheriff said, y/n nodded. "I can get someone to pick you up for school tomorrow, I don't think it'll be clear by tomorrow... it's hard to say." Sheriff explained as he turned into her driveway.

"Thank you, Sheriff. Can I ask what happened?" y/n asked.

"It's confidential, y/n... I'll have someone pick-"

"Yeah, thanks again, Sheriff" y/n got out the car and ran up to her front door. She knew that was what her parents were ringing for.

The next day the Sheriff had sent his son to pick her up. Stiles had explained that the officers were all busy, y/n couldn't argue with that, plus her car still hadn't turned up.

She didn't really speak to Stiles much, they only simple knew each other. That was until something happened. She always knew something was going on in Beacon Hills, she was going to find out very soon.

y/n was sat in her hanging egg chair. There was a total of four which hung from the wooden ceiling which covered the decking. y/n knew how lucky she was to have a house like this, the old couple who left it to them loved sitting in the garden and y/n's parents didn't need to change anything in the house. It seemed as though the old couple had decorated to fit their taste. y/n's mom had always said that the couple were young at heart. y/n couldn't really remember them, but she wished she did. y/n was sat in the hanging egg chair reading. Her parents were away on a business trip for the week, so she had the whole house to herself. Her friends had tried to convince her to throw a party, but y/n just wanted to have the place to herself. She wasn't a party girl. Not one bit, but she liked it that way.
