Is it about kinship? Does my being there and holding her make her feel safe enough to push those nightmares away?

I need to know.

"You need to use compulsion to test your hypotheses, Lisa," My head snapped at Junhoe's direction at what he said.

"No. I won't force her to do something she doesn't want," I said in a determined voice.

"But that's the only way to know," Jisoo looked at me with the same resolve while looking at me seriously.

"You can always confess to her when the right time comes," Hanbin threw a sympathetic smile.

"I feel like there's more into this than some lost pages and unknown connection, Lisa. We need to know before something bad happens," Junhoe said in serious tone.

"We don't know what lies ahead but we need progress to find every little detail to piece them up into a bigger picture. Something dangerous might be lurking into those missing clues and we couldn't be outran by the one who hid those pages," Hanbin joined them going against me.

"We should also think about the possibility that the Majesties knew about this and might be of good help," Jisoo turned to me.

I know what they're getting at but Jennie. I don't want to do something that could scar our relationship once she became mine. My being a vampire could leave a big scar as is and I don't want another thing to add to it. I would die if I see hatred in her eyes.

"Jennie's safety is at risk here. You know that and I know she'll understand," Junhoe placed a comforting hand on my shoulder while the others just nodded.

Even though we all agreed to meet at the carnival, I decided to drop by Jennie's house and take her with me instead. I almost bailed on this because I have things to think through and being around Jennie will just distract me.

I still haven't decided if I'll use compulsion on her or not because my best friends have a point about her life being at risk but I'm the type of vampire who won't force a person to do something he/she doesn't want, especially Jennie. I respect her. I couldn't break the trust she was building for me but the thought of losing her keeps flashing into my head that makes me want to do it.

Jennie's footsteps interrupted my thoughts and a sudden smile made its way to my face when I think of seeing her face again. The clicking of the gate and the slow opening of the gate makes my heart beat fast as her face slowly showed.

The sight of her brought me to the edge, in awe of her exceptional beauty that never fails to take my breath away each time I see her. Her dress. Just...wow. I was at a loss for words.

I was suddenly hit by a truck of euphoria as I roamed my eyes on her body. The dress hugged her curves yet somehow loose. The color of her dress compliments her milky skin and I couldn't help the desire for her to intensify and surge through me.

"You're so gorgeous," I managed to let out with a silent sigh of contentment just by looking at her. Hell, I could look at her forever and not mind any of my surroundings at all.

Her thought made me return my eyes on her face, she's got abs, everyone! I saw her biting her lip as she looked at something on me and when I saw where she was looking at, a surge of confidence went through me and teased her.

I ended up driving us to the carnival with her car as I clearly forgot that I brought my Ducati because of her and I wouldn't take the risk of taking her there using my bike with that dress. Someone might take advantage of it and I might become a murderer in front of her eyes.

We enjoyed the comfortable silence that surrounded us in the car until we reached our destination. It felt amazing, actually. Jennie and I, just enjoying the silence and each other's company and sweet smiles without any complication. I never felt more contented with my life. I never knew silence could fill a hole in someone's chest like it did with mine.

After we paid for the tickets, I sneakily placed Jennie's money in her cute backpack. I just couldn't let her pay for her ticket. I was dragged out of my will toward the opposite of the direction we were supposed to go to. We made a turn and somehow felt disappointed when Jennie's soft and perfumed hand released my mouth. Her fragrance is really addicting.

"Jerk. I was doing this for Chaeng," she replied when I teased her for snatching me away. I just ignored her reason and continued to tease her, "whatever you say. Now, where do we start this date with?" I asked with my thumb and index finger on my chin, thinking and checking all the rides.

I was hit on my shoulder which caused me to look at her in pain as I rubbed my aching body part, "aww," I complained with a pout while she glared at me. "This is not a date, Manoban," she rolled her eyes at me with crossed arms. I laughed at her teasingly, "for all I know you want this to be a date. Don't worry, we're girlfriends after all," I smiled teasingly at her while preparing myself for any attack.

I want this to be a date too.

She scoffed at me, "whatever, Manoban," she attempted to leave but I clasped her hand with mine and dragged her that made her yelp.

"Oh, c'mon. Let's go to rollercoaster first," I suggested with excitement and walked straight toward the line.

"Andwe~! Mulmisimhae~!"
