Chapter Forty-Eight

Omniscient

"Come on Katrina get up love" Jason sighed tapping her butt

"I don't want to and don't touch me.." she mumbled, pulling the covers over her head

Jason sighed as he plopped on the bed, they've been at this for almost thirty minutes

He wanted to take Katrina to breakfast before the appointment and as usual she was being difficult

Jason got off the bed and pulled the covers off of Katrina 

 "Get up i'm not asking you again." Jason spoke 

"Get up i'm not asking you again." Katrina mocked as she got out the bed 

Jason watched as she waddled into the bathroom 

"I'll wait for you downstairs."

"Whatever!"

Jason laughed as he walked downstairs

Katrina hummed along to the radio as she grabbed Jason's hand and put it on her thigh

"Oh I can touch you now?" he joked as he rubbed her thigh, driving away from the diner 

Katrina smiled, "You fed me, so yes.."

Jason laughed as he rubbed her stomach, "How are you feeling?" 

Katrina applied her chapstick and nodded, "Good. Just a lot of heartburn, but other then that I'm good." 

Jason nodded and he continued to rub on her stomach, "Feet still swollen?" 

"Unfortunately. I'm out here looking like the nutty professor"

Jason laughed as he felt the baby kick 

"I just want to go back to sleep."

Since Katrina isn't working at the moment that's all she's been doing, sleeping, eating, and decorating the nursery and occasionally do lunch with the girls and her mom

Adjusting to the "normal" life was hard for Katrina at first because nothing about this relationship with the man she is in love with is normal, their whole relationship was far from normal, from the attempted murders to the kidnapping. Katrina was just glad to be moving in a positive direction 

Jason and Katrina have grown closer, Jason is growing closer to Brooklyn and he is becoming more open about his feelings and his thoughts about certain things, but every day he is making progress

Katrina and Jason in the room, Katrina was laid back on the bed occupying herself with wiggling her toes

Jason was intrigued by pictures that were hung up on the wall about the baby's growing progress inside the womb and what should have formed around those certain amount of weeks 

The knock on the door startled Jason and Katrina before Dr. H appeared in the doorway, rubbing her hands with sanitizer she shook Jason's hand and Katrina's 

"Here for a checkup?" she asked 

Katrina nodded, "Yeah."

Dr. H laid Katrina back and pulled up her shirt rubbing jelly on her stomach with the wand 

"Still having the swollen feet and back pain?" Dr. H asked while looking at the screen and moving the wand around

"Yeah, the swollen feet will come for like a week or two then go away and come back. The back pain is always though."
