I wasn't listening to any of the details of the case. I was sitting quietly, just as Sherlock had told me to. Though he was the one who had brought me along, I didn't want to intrude. I already felt out of place because of the whole yelling at Mycroft thing. So I sat, and I looked at the pillow in my lap. I only looked up when I saw Mycroft hand Sherlock a photo or two.
"That's Irene Adler..." I whispered, I knew exactly who she was because I watch British news a lot in hopes of finding the boy who saved me. And I quickly realized that I had opened my mouth yet again so I looked back down at my pillow.
"Correct. Professionally known as The Woman. She's been at the centre of two political scandals in the last year, and recently ended the marriage of a prominent novelist by having an affair with both participants separately." Mycroft looked at me surprised that I knew her before his brother did.
"Professionally?" John was studying the same pictures as Sherlock.
"There are many names for what she does. She prefers 'dominatrix.' Don't be alarmed Sherlock, it has to do with sex."
"Sex doesn't alarm me."
"How would you know?" Mycroft smiled slyly and I snickered at the comment. All that did was earn me a look from the younger brother. I shut up again.
I sat there quietly until I saw Sherlock and John stand up ready to leave. I did the same and placed the pillow I was holding back onto the couch. I followed Sherlock out after he grabbed a lighter from the employer. On the way out I also watched him quickly grab an ashtray when he thought nobody was looking. I started laughing at it, remembering the joke from earlier. Sherlock turned around and put his finger to his lips while smiling. I nodded in return, but when I looked over to see John's puzzled look I giggled some more.
We got into a cab and when Sherlock mentioned the ashtray we all burst out laughing, we couldn't contain ourselves. The rest of the ride home was quiet. When we got out Sherlock paid the cabbie (which John looked surprised by) and we all entered their flat.
"Y/N, let me fill you in on some things. Mycroft is Sherlock's brother as you know. But he is also the head of-- Sherlock what are you doing?" In the hallway that I guess led to his room were piles of clothes. Sherlock had been throwing them around just so that he could pick something to wear.
"Going into battle, John. I need the right armour." He walked out wearing a bright yellow vest and walked back into his room to change again.
"Oh I do love a fashion show! What do we have next on the red carpet?" Though I was excited I made sure they knew by the tone of my voice it was at least a half joke. Sherlock kept walking out in different clothes and I would make comments like asking him to pose for the cameras. Until he walked out with no shirt on, simply pants and shoes. He and a tie in each hand and he looked like he was deciding between the two. I looked away and cleared my throat.
"I don't understand. John why does she do that?"
"Sherlock it's what happens when someone gets flustered, something that someone like you without emotions wouldn't understand."
"Ummm... I'll be going now.. I hope you guys find whatever you're looking for on this case. I need to go find a job, erm... thanks for today." I got up ready to leave. As I walked to the door I avoided eye contact. But as I was trying to exit someone stepped in front of me, and in turn I walked right into them. I looked up to see none other than Sherlock, no shirt and all. He's shirtless and... I just walked right into him... oh my god. I made some illegible noise, took a few steps backwards, and attempted to hide behind my hair. Just like a normal person.
"Y/N, I need your help. I'll even pay you."
"No, move. Erm... please." He didn't even budge. He just looked down on me. I couldn't take anymore excitement that day. So even though I didn't want to, I used all my force to slam my body into his side causing him to move just enough to get by him. "I'm sorry! I just needed to get back to my apartment. Today was fun and all, but there's only so much I can take in one day. Next time please put a shirt on." I waved apologetically, trying my hardest to not get distracted by Sherlock and his shirtless bo-... um I mean, trying not to get distracted by Sherlock.
When I was walking down the stairs I ran into Ms. Hudson who was carrying a tray of tea. I smiled at her and continued to my flat. When I got inside I put on a coat and a scarf, I also grabbed my finished resumé. I headed out to find somewhere close by where I could possibly work. Easier said than done. When I gathered everything that I needed I went out to the door. Turning around I locked my door, but behind me I heard someone walk outside. Looking I saw none other than Sherlock and John. As quick as I could I crossed the street hoping with all my might that they didn't see me do so.
The first place I was off to was the bar that I had went to the previous night. As I was outside of the door I heard someone yell at me, which was odd because I knew very few people seeing that I had just moved here a day ago.
"I thought I told you not to drink so much alcohol. It's a bad habit, also its very early in the day to be doing so." Sherlock stared at me while the cab that he was hailing earlier quietly waited for him.
"And I think I told you off last time you said that. I'm only applying for a job. Good day. I don't really think that I can deal with all the fanatics of being with you for too long. Not to mention the fact that I get way too flustered around you." Though I did that last part in a whisper. Studying his face I saw a wave of shock passover him. Knowing that he heard what I had said I turned and entered the bar to apply for the job without saying another word to him.

Oml.... today was my brother's birthday so I was going to publish this earlier so that I could go to dinner and whatever. But my entire save file on my phone was corrupt! I write the chapters on my computer but do publishing on my phone for double spacing reasons. But when I wrote this chapter on my computer it didn't transfer over to my phone, so I had to wait a couple hours for dinner to end, and then we went out to a movie. I spent like 20 mins just trying to fix it all. Ughhhh what a mess. At least I managed to post this! Thanks for reading my loves!
