"This is what happened..."

*flashback*

"Bea's body is stable. No changes of heartbeat which is good. And her body properly reacts to the medicines we give her." The doctor explained.

"So does it mean she will wake up anytime soon?" Loel asked.

"We still can't determine it sir. We still have to examine her further."

"Ano po ang hindi mo ma-determine doc? The time she will wake up? Or the possibility that she will ever wake up?" Jho asked straight to the point.

"Jho..."

"If you base it on our results, I think that all we have to determine is the time she will wake up." The doctor said.

The room was filled with cheers and happiness.

The doctor inhaled deeply.

"But I can't gurantee you that there will be a 100% chance that she will wake up."

Silence.

"S-so...there's still a p-possibility that she will not survive?" Deanna asked bravely.

The doctor nodded slowly.

"She has a coma. Nothing is sure. She can either wake up in the most unexpected time, or she can....s-she can die when you least expected it too."

The room that was once filled with happiness, turned into a room full of sadness.

"E-excuse me." Jules politely said and immediately went outside.

She inhaled deeply as she leaned on the wall.

She was trying to process everything when she heard sobs from Bea's mom.

"I am just a doctor, ma'am. I can just predict it scientifically. But God is the one who decides. He knows."

Everything just stopped for Jules and the others.

"And if ever something goes wrong, don't just go to the doctors, go to Him too." The doctor continued.

Jules closed her eyes.

"Lord, ito nalang please. Kahit ito nalang. Let ate Bei survive. I can sacrifice anything, everything. Even my blessings, my career, my life..."

"...my love."

A tear fell from her eye.

"Let's expect the worse, but hope for the best." The doctor ended.

With that, tears started rushing down to her cheeks.

"Lord, take everything from me and give it to ate Bei. Even my health, even my happiness....

Even him.

You can take him away from me. Even if it means taking away my happiness.

He is my happiness.

But I'm not his happiness.

It's ate Bea.

So please, Lord. Let them be happy.

Let ate Bea and Thirdy be happy without me."

-----

Couple of minutes passed, and Jules seemed to calmed down after that unexpected breakdown.

But she was still leaning on the wall beside the room's door, silent and staring at nowhere.

But her attention was caught when she noticed a nurse staring at her.
