Chapter 9

<pre style="line-height: 17px; white-space: normal; color: #2a2a2a; font-size: 13px;">Cora's POV<br style="line-height: 17px;" /><br style="line-height: 17px;" />Whilst basking in my own nothingness I felt probing at my body, fingers lingering at my wrist, cold discs on my chest being placed and removed again at no pace I could comprehend as in this state of mind time was endless. I heard soft scribbles and hushed murmurs between what seemed like two different people before a door was shut and the noise stopped except from the notorious beeping that I still couldn't work out. Some empty time past and the door opened again, whoever this was didn't speak they simple sat down near to me, I felt warm hands wrapping around my own, this simple gesture helped me to work out that it was niall who was beside me. Suddenly images started to flash through my mind, memories.<br style="line-height: 17px;" /><br style="line-height: 17px;" />Whilst sitting with the boys I got a call from Lucas asking me if I could still come over, I agreed and left shortly after. I reached Lucas' apartment and went inside. We talked for a bit and Lucas asked if it was possible to restart out relationship but I told him it was probably a bad idea, he agreed but hoped we could stay close friends, at that I left deciding to walk home as it was a nice night. I plugged in my ipod and listened to some music on my journey when suddenly I was grabbed from behind, I was about to scream when a hand was clamped over my mouth. <br style="line-height: 17px;" /><br style="line-height: 17px;" />The memories hit me like a tonne of bricks, I panicked and I felt my grasp on Niall's hand tighten before it all went dark. <br style="line-height: 17px;" /><br style="line-height: 17px;" />Niall's POV<br style="line-height: 17px;" /><br style="line-height: 17px;" />Doctors rushed into cora's small room and a petite nurse ushered me outside, I fought against her demanding to stay but she finally persuaded me to wait in the hall whilst the doctors worked. I paced the corridors, minutes felt like hours what was taking so long? Was Cora okay? What happened? Did she know I was with her? Questions fired through my mind. I pulled my phone out of my pocket and called Zayn.<br style="line-height: 17px;" />"Vas happening Nialler, any news?" He answered<br style="line-height: 17px;" />"Zayn...I...don't....I don't....I don't know!" I managed as tears started to flow from my eyes before I could control them.<br style="line-height: 17px;" />"Wow Niall calm, what's wrong?" <br style="line-height: 17px;" />"Cora.." Saying her name hurt "her..her heart..it stopped!" I replied and I broke down inside realising how serious what just happened was. <br style="line-height: 17px;" />"Oh...is she...are the doctors...has it.." Zayn struggled for words<br style="line-height: 17px;" />"I don't know" was all I said<br style="line-height: 17px;" />"Buddie why don't you come home for a bit? Cora's parents just left and are on their way to the hospital, I'll come pick you up so you can get some rest and something to eat, okay?" Zayn asked seeming genuinely worried<br style="line-height: 17px;" />"Uh...no I think I'll stay" I was determined not to leave even though I knew I had to at some point<br style="line-height: 17px;" />"No Niall you need sleep other wise your going to burn out and then you'll be no use to anyone so I'm leaving now see you in 15." This time he was telling me not asking<br style="line-height: 17px;" />"Okay" I simply replied before hanging up.<br style="line-height: 17px;" /><br style="line-height: 17px;" />While I waited for Zayn to arrived I stayed outside Coras room hoping for some news. The little nurse that had made me leave before spotted me and came out to talk<br style="line-height: 17px;" />"Hi honey listen Cora has been stabilised and she's okay the doctors just trying to work out what cause the failure, you look tired love why don't you go get a sleep and I'll come find you if anything happens?" She said smiling at me.<br style="line-height: 17px;" />"Actually I'm going home for a bit but Cora's parents are on their way, could you keep them informed?" I asked as kindly as I could manage.<br style="line-height: 17px;" />"Of course dear, now you go home and get some sleep before you end up in here yourself" she replied still smiling.<br style="line-height: 17px;" />I nodded and headed towards the exit.<br style="line-height: 17px;" />Zayn had just pulled up so I climbed inside the car and we shot away.</pre>

<pre style="line-height: 17px; white-space: normal; color: #2a2a2a; font-size: 13px;">it wasn't until i got home that i realised how sleep deprived i was, i went up stairs and lay down falling asleep almost instantly.</pre>

<pre style="line-height: 17px; white-space: normal; color: #2a2a2a; font-size: 13px;">When i arrived at the hospital Niall came out so he wasn't being resistant like i had imagined he was going to be however he did look atrocious. His hair was ruffled, his clothes were creased, his tshirt tear stained and his face blotchy from crying, i could tell just from looking at him how much this had torn him up. He didnt say a word in the car only nodded his head to answer my questions and when we got home he crashed straight away, poor niall only thing is i kinda know what hes going through...I miss lyndsey.</pre>

<pre style="line-height: 17px; white-space: normal; color: #2a2a2a; font-size: 13px;">AN- okay so i couldn't sleep last night so i wrote this :D plus i just had to post on one directions 2nd birthday! im sooo proud of the boys 2 years since they first met and look how far they have come! anyway im leaving in like an hour soo i wont be posting anymore but i will be writing...i wonder if i can upload from my phone? any one know? ive got a blackberry so if any of you can upload from your blackberry let me know, kay? i do know however that i can still reply to you all so comment away or send me messages whatever you like!
